I don't own a twist and I don't own a Kgo. That said, the Kgo is a bit better than an Ego ONLY because the Kgo is calibrated to 3.7V as opposed to the 3.4V for the Ego. When you get to VV, the Kgo loses that advantage. Unless the Kgo provides more amperage and that hasn't been established, the difference comes down to styling. So, I don't see what the big deal is.

I don't think the KGO is regulated. My understanding is that the KGO is UNregulated whereas the Ego is regulated (via a boost and limit circuit) to 3.4 volts. To me, that's not a negative for the KGO because the KGO comes off the charger at 4.2 volts and generally charge it before it gets to 3.4 volts, so I'm always vaping at more than 3.4 volts with my KGO.

The KGO VV may not be a big deal, but at least it provides more choices for consumers. The LED display makes it a more desirable choice FOR ME over the Ego Twist.

You don't own a twist or Kgo and you probably won't own one of these either... Let us have our fun. We know it's not really a big deal, just another fun choice

Re: Kgo vs eGo (or whichever letter it is that's supposed to be capitalized)
My understanding is that not only is the ego a 3.4 volt device, it also uses a Li-ion battery.
The Kgo uses a Li-PO battery & averages 3.7 volts.
According to Battery University, a Li-PO is both more stable & more expensive.
Now you electrical engineers can jump in here & help out a Cowdog on details.
Woof!

Now this is something I'm excited about! I was almost ready to purchase a twist, when I happened to check in over at Hoosier, and saw the KGO VV. I am a current Kgo user, and I must say that this has been a very reliable PV. My Kgo's are all but trashed at this point (dropped many times) and they still both fire just the same as the day I purchased them.

This gives me a very inexpensive way of playing around VV vaping. I have considered buying a lavatube or even a Provari, but I have a hard time spending that much money on those devices (especially Provari)! This way if I really like VV vaping and it seems like a game changer, I can then make the leap up to a Provari or LT.

Anyhow if this device is anywhere as close to the original Kgo, then I think Brent over at Hoosier will be selling these like hotcakes at a church Breakfast.

Just got mine earlier today... pretty much a mini version of my Lavatube... in fact, might be slightly more powerful at 6V, don't have a in-line meter on me, but it seems to not have the same drop under voltage that I occasionally get with the LT. The button is taking a bit to get used to, and I'll have to spend more time using before I can come to any firm conclusions... but this could be a Twist killer... lovin it!

If you look over at Taste Your Juice .com Phil Besardo's web site you will see a eGo 14500 VV in his device review. So I am sure Joyetech is already well ahead of your thoughts. My question would be to the current owners of the Kgo would be battery life. I use a eGo Twist 1000 mah every day At around 4.2 Volts. I can usually expect 10 - 12 hours of vaping or around 3.5mls of juice with a SR Boge cardo tank. With the 650 mah battery in the Kgo what are you getting in hours of use at what voltage. I hope everyone is enjoying there new toys.....

I am just about to order one. I am curious if you could give me the dimensions or some pictures next to other mods?

I have a ProVari and I am looking for something thats shorter and lighter with VV that has a native eGo style connector on it. Right now I have a good ole 650 passthrough eGo. If its anywhere near that length I think I would be very interested.

I'll take a photo and post it here shortly... sizewise, same thickness as your average eGo/Kgo battery... maybe 30-40% longer than a 650 mAh eGo... never had a Provari, but the 650 Ego-V is nearly as long as the Lavatube... though much thinner, obviously :)

Kinda figured that. Ordered one anyway :D

Okay, some pics for size comparison:

And a picture of the battery charging via the included Micro USB cable... might be chargeable via the
eGo connection as well, didn't test it yet...

As far as weight goes, surprisingly quite light, might be lighter than my 650 mAh eGo.... so if you're
preferring a lightweight (literally) battery, you won't be disappointed.
