I have been vaping since 2007, and I have Vaped in a lot of places. Yesterday I was at the mall going to buy a present for my wife, minding my own business walking down the aisles and vaping (like I have done here several times before) when a mall manager asked me to leave the premises. I asked him why, since I have done this before, he told me that they changed their policy and they no longer allow vaping in the mall. I later found out that they also made the kiosk that sells ecigs leave the mall also.

... is going on here!!!

With all the misinformation and negative campaigning, ecigs are once again something one must stealth vape in many places. Where we once could educate others on what we were doing, and they would say "Oh, that's fine", there are now preconceived notions that put walls around us. Welcome back to the future.

The anti-smokers will not be happy until we can't even chew nicotine gum, somehow that will be offensive to them too. Microscopic nicotine vapours are going to fly out of our mouths and cause them to get ebola or some .....

Around here (from what I understand) the rules for normal smoking applies to e-cigs, so malls, restaurants, etc. I'm told there's a couple bars downtown Toronto that are e-cig friendly.

This will most likely be just the tip of the iceberg that sank the Titanic!!!!!!! Wish I'd been carefree and vaping for the last several years like yourself, I only started back in April and like many thought I'd found myself back in time blowing smoke(vapor) rings all over the place without upsetting anyone.

A swing in the public's attitude is already underway within just the last 2 months! You can read all about it all over these forums and should do so asap since you may be in for a shock following your habitual vaping routine. I know I am gutted about the whole charade.

OP,I do not have a problem with a business making such a choice. However, I do have a problem that they asked you to actually leave!

Since they changed the policy it would have been more appropriate IMO for him to simply inform you of the recent policy change.

Ditto the above.

When ever there is new technology there is a fear that goes along with it. So what we are seeing today when it comes to vaping and the general public is a new era of Luddites being groomed.

"The title Luddite developed a secondary meaning: a "Luddite" is a term describing those opposed to, or slow to adopt or incorporate into their lifestyle, industrialisation, automation, computerisation or new technologies in general."

By the way, I am a veteran and go to the VA where I live and I vape when I am in the parking area, (The VA has strict smoking areas) but I've walked right by VA Police and all they ever said is "Is that an E-Cigarette?" When I said yes they let me go on about my business.
