USTVnow is also supposed to be good but was looking at the cheapest package on Vue and it is pretty good also. If I didn't have the package I have with Dish that I have for $33 which isn't available anymore for the locals it doesn't include any where near what the 29.95 package on Vue includes. The problem nowadays is the damned ISP's all want to limit your data just waiting for Century Link to start doing it on the business package.

Could you explain htpc? I see they aren't real cheap minix makes one. Hey has anyone put the IPTV addon on is it free or paid subscription how does it work?

A home theater pc, if you're looking to buy one, I'm not actually sure, all I did for the last 2 that I've had was, whenever I built a new gaming rig, I built an htpc out of parts I ripped out from the old one.

The one I'm using now has most of the old hardware from the old one, I think its an i7 4790k, 2 sticks of 8gb, Asus rog mobo and a gtx 980 gpu, if I remember it all correctly... all I had to buy was a more compact psu, 1 small pci-express HD (for windows) to boot, and a small m.2 ssd (for storage) to be able ti fit w/ this fractal designs case.

It's very small and it looks like a cable box, but there's not a lot of room inside. Traditional HD's would not fit inside, with the way I have it at least. A lot of people use them for gaming as a "steambox" in place of a console. I do sometimes if I'm lazy but I mostly use it for media. I've got 3x 2tb and up external hd's hooked up to it and that's what is shared on the plex server.

Yeah I see Minix also makes an HTPC for around $100. So do you know anything about IPTV I see it is available as an app in google store but not sure if it is one of those things you have to already have a subscription to the channels to be able to use them. The damned data caps are a pain. I'm sure I am using about 1.5TB per month maybe more.

Yeah I really don't like the ui, it's more suited to an htpc with a mouse & keyboard than android box with a remote or controller imo. but I'm going to just use it & get used to it anyways, seeing how it's the new standard and whatnot.

Ahh hes the robot in Alien movies?

that was Lance Henriksen I believe. Great movie, when I was a kid it was one of those I wanted to watch all the time. Parents made me stop though. gave my sister nightmares

Idk what the specs are but I'll check it out later. Depending what you're using it for could be a good deal. Idk about the ipv other than its also an app on samsung smart TV, I never tried using it.

I need to do a fresh install on my SS. Found out that using the save user settings gives you the new addons but doesn't get rid of the old ones. Save user settings is a lazy way of doing it but was told when they do Repo updates you should use the fresh install option then reauthorize Trakt and RD.
Wait your isp caps your data? What happens when you go over?

I'm looking on minix now, but I only find android boxes under products, this theright website?
MiniX Products
Well I searched HTPC on Amazon and there were several.
Comcast and Century Link have put a 1TB cap then either you pay a ton or they slow your speed for you. I went to a business plan with Century link. Unlimited data but they soak you for it. Get a lot of things I don't use like Office 365, your own domain, a bunch I don't use plus landline telephone with every option you can get but it's $160 a month. I really haven't complained because my internet is amazing at 40Mbps. DSL but they ran 2 dedicated 20Mbps DSL's to the modem which joins the 2 giving me 40Mbps and talking to people that have way more speed then me like 120Mbps Cable that do not get the quality I get. NO DATA CAPS. Out here we have a choice of Comcast, 1TB limit, residential DSL Century link !TB limit. I was wondering why my streaming would start buffering and losing streams then I got a message on my computer that I had exceeded the limit which was non existent when I first got it.

Hmm that's weird, if there's something like that on fiber optic I haven't experienced it yet, we pay about $70/mo, split between 3 people.
