At least I think that is like on my modem and LAN mine says Ethernet will only go green if you have something wired direct to your modem like computer or box or something.

Are any of thos the same as you have written down from your computer.

I don't think I have anything written down for my pc..

Here's what I'm gonna do......I'd rented a car for the whole week-end...the sun's shining...it's fairly warm outside...I'm so done with the aggravation, the cussin and throwin stuff...the damn head-ache.... I'm going outside and down the road and hope that I can find some FUN trouble to get into....;)

Are you guys familiar with those abbreviations. Like which one should be the pw for the modem
The first one is serial number, the other three, basically separate mac address types for a cable modem.

if anything, a sticker with like, a default wpa-psk on it, that would be on the router. *if* it is there. Sometimes don't have that or it could of been peeled off.

I'm telling you, sometimes this stuff is more trouble than than it's worth lol. Here's a good example, my grandma saw the one I did for my brother & wanted me to set up a fire stick for her, I did and sideloaded kodi on it but like everything possible went wrong with it (she lives in Delaware btw, so trying to walk her through fixing addons and repo's and other things over the phone became a nightmare) but shes stubborn and retired, lol so she didn't want to give up on it... She told me a few months ago that she had found a box that came with support, I'm guessing something like Sky stream, but she's always fiddling with something and so she's on the phone with them constantly.

I told her those people must just love you I bet, she was like, oh yeah, we're on a first name basis. lolz... These days when family or freinds ask me to do it for them I explain that it's not a magic TV box, and usually reccommend netflix or Hulu or PS vue, but if they have their heart set I'll load my personal build for them and hope for the best, mine is pretty simple & easy but I don't control if addons or repo's break, or if you randomly start up kodi one day and everything is gone, or the thousand other things that can & will happen, and since I was the one who set it up for them they are going to have a very hard time troubleshooting it.

Well she must've either called support, they're not open or gave up. Once set up this box is reasonably easy.

Yeah I hear you. I think if she got it set up it would be good and trakt would be a good choice for her too to get her movies and Elvis stuff in a list of their own even if it's only installed on Exodus. It's a hassle searching for stuff on the box much easier on their website and easy to make your own list,I have 6 different lists plus all the ones that are available with the default choices on Exodus or Specto. After you get used to it for me it is as easy to watch as Roku almost. I'm running out of movies though.

Oh and I was going to let you know about the changing size its a setting in their build that sets the size of the screen to fit your tv only on the opening screen or the kodi screen and its in a percentage. It has nothing to do with the aspect ratio and you just set it so the menus display correctly with a slight black around the edges.

She has a smart TV though right? She can easily do Netflix or Hulu, or PS vue/sling TV if she had cable before, any of those will be super easy for her and will still save her a bunch of moneys.

With the amount we saved we were able to get all of it for a fraction of what we were paying. The combined cost of the streaming services we pay for is like $30 or so/mo, and we've got most of them which is way better than fios TV.

What I find funny though is that the fios bill before I moved in was like 350/mo, we cut off everything but the Interwebs and since we were saving so much I even increased the speed to 150/150 so I could get my uploads done faster when I'm working from home. Now our bill is just ~$70/mo. It just goes to show you they're charging an absurd amount for TV service.

DSL and a cable modem ain't da same dood. But never saw a modem with the PW on it. Usually just SN, Mac address, serial #.
Mine do plus they actually didn't put it on the modem they gave it to me. It might be on the modem haven't looked at the bottom. They had a good one so I didn't change it. Like I say have never seen a cable modem I've alsways had DSL but still you can get the pw in Win.
