The way the world is now if your getting something like what is possible on Kodi for free or almost someone or something is going to find a way to make you pay for it. It's like the guy said in the video if the cable and satellite companies would allow you to get what you can get on Kodi for 30 or 40 most people wouldn't mind it. Instead they make you pay 150+ to get 250 channels of which 230 you never watch and the pay movie channels all play the same thing over and over and if you want to see a later movie they charge you 5 to watch it on top of that who can afford it and still not have the content that is on Kodi not even close.

Well pay tv is a monopoly in disguise. U got satellite or u got cable. Since u have two, not legally a monopoly. But no way there can be more than one cable company, etc. That would create competition and prices would have to go down.

This is my last rant but if someone were to offer the content that is available out there and you could watch it smoothly and easily I would gladly pay $100 a month for it and everyone that feels cheated could get a small piece of the pie, but that wouldn't be enough for them.

Yep your totally right Gary. And the thing they don't get is just because they make it impossible to get poor scmucks like me or you aren't going to run out and buy the DVD or even rent it for that matter. I would just wait till it became available on Netflix or Amazon or some other fairly priced media company and they really would gain very little. Plus a lot of the stuff I watch you can't even watch for any price like all the seasons of a lot of TV shows that don't exist And I definately would not go to a theater ever to watch it anymore.

btw that can be fixed w/ your cachemebuffersize in advancedsettings.xml, but what I meant from a data standpoint, like hour isp looking at your history, to them, if you watched the entire video, there's no difference from torrenting (with seeding turned off) bc at one point or another the whole thing got downloaded over the course of you watching it. They won't see a difference between downloading something and streaming it.

if you want I can help you properly set up your cachemebuffersize and other advanced settings in your kodi user data folder.

Here are mine, ofc your cachemebuffersize is going to be dependent to your specific device but I can help you figure that out and you're welcome to copy the rest.
ya, I did that already. I don't get much buffering... If I don't use the Vidzi streams. First two times I did it, I followed instructions to the letter... and made the cache too large, so the KODI app wouldn't even come up. Then I did some research and set it correctly for my memory size :D

It doesn't need to be spot on, every box is going to be different depending on what's running in the background, if you clear your cache you can get a good idea of what it will be divided by 3. But it's actually a little better to set it a bit lower than it needs to be, like on my htpc there's 16gb ram, but it in no way needs the whole 16gb. Even if you set it to half or less than half that will be fine, it'll just Ned to re-buffer more often, and you won't get errors when something pops up in the background.

I've posted earlier here dat I've already separated da YT wheat from da chaff. But I'm also intelligent and wizened 'nuff to know da diff twix 'whole wheat' and 'cracked'! There is soooo much on da web (ignoring ads, of course...) re streaming/VPN/ISPs/etc. to guide interested streamers to a satisfactory/minimal co$t alternative. In fact, use Google to find info sites other dan YT...

In fact, I recently learned dat I can't 'easily' change my router's channel, thanx to my provider's unit. Gonna look into ditchin' what I have, even if I pay fer my own.

Along dat line, I've spent le$$ dan one month of cable in my quest fer 'Independence (including two set-ups fer my prodigy)!

AFAIK, pretty much globally, it isn't currently considered illegal to watch! Kodi/add-ons/etc, do nuttin' more dan scour and provide content sites ; readily available otherwise if ya know da 'address.

Thanx much David, ya beat beat me to dat point!

Would also like to thank our new contributors here dat have exposed sum great info/possibilities dat I need to further research; kiba first comes to mind... but I know there are more...

Lastly, sweet Kay, I ever so much hope you'll be a happy streamer! BTW, did ya get an OTA antenna working fer ya yet?

Iffy, I've been using an indoor antennae for over a month now, ever since I cancelled cable tv. Not much with just that, but the tv has built-in Amazon and Netflix.

correct. I have mine set perfectly. only really slow streams for me buffer. the rest work fantastically.
This was started by the whole download debate. can you consider it downloading content while streaming, etc.

Jup. If u haven't read it, 15 men, 15 women, 9 months in the wild. Winners split 1.7 million dollar prize.
However, since murder and rape are allowed... prolly 9 days is more like it. And one winner.
WoW!

Well I think Kay might be streaming. I talked to Manny at Elite mods and he sent her Ethernet cords and a couple of Powerline adapters so she could hard wire her box. Then he called her today and helped her get them set up. So I bet shes watching TWD or Elvis right now.

Ok so I finally read it, was blocked at my work, but what I dont understand is that guy sells a few boxes to pubs and whatnot and gets slapped with a huge fine, but then how do the ones like SS and others do it, like they are actually providing support for and showing people how to use illegal addons?

Btw seems to me they are focusing on the live streaming ones like iptv and sportsdevil type stuff. weird.
