KICKing my GGTS... (battery question)

The Kick sucks upward of 5A out of the battery, depending on wattage setting. IMRs (AW or otherwise) and NMC (Panasonic ..CH and others) can sustain that.
The problem with the "protected" batteries is the actual protection circuit. Some can deliver only 1.5A. The AW protected are rated at 5,2A, and that is really good for a protection circuit.

So you CAN use the AW protected with the Kick, but you will use them at the edge of their specification - or even slightly outside it.
