The basic idea of the Killer inside a tank is brilliant. The reality is it just dosen't work as well, as universally or easily as a carto in a tank. It is outstanding as a dripper, but not as good as it's brother, the actual Dripper. Take any carto, punch it, put it in any tank, it works. Put the Killer in any tank, not so much.

I really wanted to love the Killer, but after three weeks, six different tanks & uncountable hours of fiddling, tinkering & experimenting I'll stick with the Ebaron dripper & look elsewhere for a tank solution. And that makes me sad.

also, made a stupid mistake today and melted the center pin insulator... anyone know where I can get another in the US? i'm using a silicone insulator right now from a stardust, but it makes the center pin extend farther down, and in turn the adapter floating center pin, and it's not sitting flush anymore, and occasionally giving me E1's on the provari.

Maybe I've missed something but there are no soft parts on either of my Killers; all metal except for the ceramic cup. Are you talking about the proprietary 510-510 extender?

One of the many things I love about the Killer, being used as a BF atty, no tank, is that I can torch it, coil and silica wick installed, without fear of melting any grommets, o-rings, elastics, insulators, etc.

Never mind. You are talking about adding a top cap, for tank use, like the Novas have. In the Novas, in case someone doesn't know, the silicone cap has a small metal disc inside that goes onto ceramic cup. Then, when you put the DT into tank it snugs up against the silicone cap to keep juice from leaking out top.

DH started using Stardust before Mini Nova came out and now only tank he will use is Mini Nova on slender VV mods or VV egos. As long as he hasn't dropped it enough to make the center post out of line he never hss leaking and he sits them on sides sll the time.

BTW.... I save all those little caps when screw on atty heads can't be cleaned or rebuilt any longer. Nice little part for various uses and to gift to people who have lost theirs down the drain.;)

Anyone here know where I can find the proprietary 510-510 extender?

I got a Killer 705 on trade but the guy didn't give me the extender. Thanks!

Wow, thats terrible. Did he tell you this was missing in advance. If not I would ask he get you one and or refund you some money and or give you a full refund and send it back. If he does nothing and didnt tell you in advance thats grounds for a neg rating. I hope you can find a replacement. Id either talk to House of Mods or the Greek site where they sell them.

There was somebody else in this thread that bought 2 killers and said that there was no adapter for either of them. It turned out that they were screwed on the killer so tight he couldn't see the seam. Could this be the case with yours?

I informed him about it after I discovered it was missing. He said he had it in drip mode and took it off but that he could find it by going through his stuff again. After looking and not finding it he apologized and asked me how he could make it up. That was a few minutes before I posted here about it. I contacted the Greek site already but not HOM yet. There's still a chance it could turn up so I'm going to give him a couple more days to look for it. It actually still works, it feeds through the middle connection by leaving a slight opening.

No, it's definitely missing. The very bottom piece is the middle section with the feed hole in it. Thanks though.

You know this could turn into a very common problem and it would be nice if Greek Vapes sold just the adapters. It's so easy to misplace or lose something that small. Good luck. I hope you're trader finds the adapter or Greek Vapes fixes you up.

Are you using it in a tank without the adapter? I would think it would flood feeding thru the middle connection?

Not if you just open it a slit. I have my juice control all the way open and one time I noticed that the bell wasn't tight, it was open a little bit and it didn't flood but then my juice is 100% VG. Opening the bell a tiny bit works in a pinch.

nope, there is a plastic insulator that prevents the center pin (the pin that the ceramic cup slides on) from contacting the 510 threading (in the killer, not the 510-510 adapter, though the adapter has a similar piece.)

torched mine and it melted, i'd be careful... in the meantime, you can pull your cup off of the center pin, and then remove the center pin and you'll see what i'm talking about... no different than any other 510 device i have, has to be insulated somehow, i'm guessing the killer is PTFE, but it was completely melted and i could not tell.

I need help  In replacing my ceramic cup - I find that the new ones are beyond a tight fit. The first one - I really worked on until it went on - once it goes on it can easily be removed. All of my recoiling supplies aren't in yet - so I pulled out another new one.....and managed to break the ceramic cup in trying to get it seated - completely frayed my wick in the process........and yes, I see the insulator you've been talking about.....

So what's the trick to getting these ceramics on the post? My fingers are killing me!

Wasn't sure how to "wrap" it around that post.....but I remembered the video for recoiling the dripper and had noticed that they cut the wire so that it just tucks up one side of the ceramic cup - instead of being one piece that bridges across and ends up running on both sides- so I used a dental pick and pulled the wire out - cut it they way they did in the video- enough to cross the opening - then tucked the much shorter piece inside the ceramic - and VOILA! In it went :D Thank you X!

I've been having the same problem. I finally get it in by pushing and twisting but it has to be lined up just perfectly which is hard. I know all about the sore fingers. :( I wonder if putting a little juice on the post or in the ceramic post hole would help. I haven't tried that yet.
