Can you guys help me? I have tried all the tips and trick from the videos on youtube and all the information I have got from this thread yet I am still getting dry hit and lack of flavor.

I tried to leave the feed hole wide open, yet still have dry hit and lack of flavor. This thing is a steam machine though

Start here:
Whatever VG% your juice is, open up the juice control about that much. 40% VG? Open your JC about 40%.

Remove your Killer from the ProVari. Cover up the bottom hole on the 510 connection and the hole in the threads. Inhale sharply on your drip tip once or twice. There should be very little to no airflow.

Replace on your PV and vape.

I finally received all my building materials today :)

Is there anything I have to do to the silica wick before building like soaking or torching?

That's a good question. I've always just used it as is and the flavor was just so so. This last time I torched it and soaked it in my juice and the flavor was just awful for the first ml or so but then it got better and better. I'm not a big silica fan but this setup is great.

I found an ultra tight drip tip impedes the feeding of juice as well, for the atty to feed right it cannot be in a complete vacuum...it has to breath a little to perform at it's best. I discovered this when I shoved in a 3 o-ring Trippy Tip, was very tight and it fed poorly. Went back to a single o-ring Hot Vapes tip I had and with every hit there would be a bubble from the feed hole and all was well.

In a way it goes along with what Todd said in his follow up review.

hi guys. i received my killer 705s this morning. they did not come with the 510 extender... only the top and bottom portions of the atty itself.

i have checked around ecf but cant figure out if anyone has discussed an adapter that suits this purpose?

thanks in advance if anyone can help me out! currently dripping with it and am in love. dry burned the coil a few times to check it and burned some juice through it for a min or two and I can't taste anything off, only my favorite coffee flavor! can't wait to get this thing in a tank where it belongs.

Can the center pin on the adapter be adjusted?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It does have a slot but it doesn't seem to do anything. Mine is either all the way in or all the way out. Sometimes when I put it on my Provari, even gently it pushes the pin all the way in and won't make contact. If you need to adjust to make contact I think you'll need to adjust the connector post on your mod.

I have contacted my vender about the missing base adapters... kinda weird two units would ship without them. Hopefully they get back to me soon. Talk about bad luck, seems like I'm the only one to order a Killer w/ no adapter.

Sympathy reply for ya. That must have been one of the most anticlimactic unboxings ever. Well, actually at least you get to drip in them to partially mitigate the failure of the seller. Hope you get them soon though.

Yeah, that free moving center post on the adapter IS an issue for me too.

First let's start by saying that I'm completely sold: I love the killer, the vapor, its temp and the flavor is all I want for vaping and I am about to order my 2nd one as soon as it's available again.

That said, here is the story, at least for me:

If you open the juice control, it create a gap between the center post of the adapter and the base of the killer (normal, you unscrew to open). If on the mod you lose contact.

At this stage you can tighten the killer on the mod effectively pushing the connector post of the mod into the 510 adapter which pushes the center post in, closing the gap between the killer and the adapter's post and establishing contact again.

So far so good you'll tell me. NOT. by screwing in the killer, the side air hole of the adapter gets underneath the mod's connector thread. The result is a tighter draw and most annoyingly for me, the air passage being covered, it makes a light whistling noise when I draw.

I contacted Leo about it and he admitted that with some mods the connector is deep indeed and this might happen. He advised to mod the adapter by filing lightly above the adapter's threads on top of the air intake to flatten it. I very carefully did that and it improved the situation a lot.

That said, I'd hate to effectively ruin a piece of my atty at least aesthetically (even if not seen but this is how I am with my stuff :p)

A spring loaded center post on the adapter would be awesome if achievable as not all mods (unless perhaps the very high-end ones) can make adjustments on the center post of their connectors.

I think that to become potentially the best atomizer of its class in the world, this part requires a revision.

Either this could be achieved with some sort of spring-loaded center post on the adapter or in the base of the killer itself or have the top part of the killer just slide on top of the bottom section (no threading). Both cylinders would have their holes aligned and to control the liquid flow you would only twist the two to open or close completely the holes.

Makes sense or am I the only one struggling with this issue?

Are you sure its missing? It could be screwed on tight. If you could measure it we can compare it to ours or if you can post a pict? Im so sorry that this happened. It could be used as a dripper for the time being:(

I had ordered 2 - 1 for my DH and 1 for myself. 1 of them was tightened to the point it was difficult to unscrew with bare hands....so you might have a point there!

I agree that a spring loaded center post on the adapter would be perfect.

Yes it would! Allow me to illustrate through my awesome MS Paint skills the 2nd alternative which could be more elegant and less prone to failure (Spring+Juice+dirt combo perhaps not too reliable being moving parts)
