think he meant the other one...this one: Amazon.com: Kensington Battery Pack and Charger for iPod; iPhone 1G, 3G: Electronics

the one you linked is the biger in size (dimensions) one and I'm not sure whats up it doesnt list the technical specs

EDIT: you can also usually find em on ebay for very slightly cheaper
FURTHER EDIT: Actually I think the one you linked is an older model...if you go to the kensington website the product code from that one on amazon doesn't exist so it might just be a bulkier older discontinued model

Actually, you're both right. They are the same device, but the one Drozd posted comes with a cable to charge an iPhone. Other than that, they are exactly the same.

Sort of Pawpaw...after looking at them I think the first was just an older version..it's overall dimensions are bigger and if you go to kensingtons site and do a search for the product model it doesn't exist which leads me to believe that it's the older model that just got replaced with the newer..
That's neither here nor there though..internals should probably be the same...and well either way it's an awesome piece of equipment for PT portability..or for susing it for a screwy PT mod like I'm doing (making a hookah cover for the powerpack, usb hub, and a couple of PTs)

why is that,2000ma want make a difference compared to 1000ma?Is it because cig outlet only puts out so much power? This isn't my area of expertise. Thanks,Dale

What she meant is that it won't supply more voltage. The 2000ma rating means that it can, potentially supply more current.

Both devices supply 5 volts, but as the load increases (resistence decreases) the 1000ma unit will fall on it's face before the 2000ma unit.

Make sense?

The one I have in my hand says:

Model #: K38021/K33396

I think they just decided there was no point in stocking 2 different SKUs because that iPhone cable probably costs them about $0.25.

It makes sense,so basically the 2000ma will not produce better hit than 1000ma but more durable and last longer?

Cool...what are the dimensions on the one you have? I don't have access to mine at the moment to check the model # plate (I loaned it out)
But one is listed as 6.1 x 2.5 x 8.1 inches
and the other is 4.0"L X 0.37"H X 2.2"W (I know this is the one I have as I was shooting for the smallest thing I could find to be able to easily conceal it)

Thanks, PawPaw! Yes. 5v regulated, both devices.

That said - it _may_ provide more hit if the 1A (1000mA) is poorly designed or over-spec'd.

The device doesn't ever source more than about 800mA that I've been able to see. The premium cartos MAY be able to use more though. In which case, the 2A is a better choice. I'm just operating on rumor and innuendo and extrapolation regarding the premium cartos - well - at least today. ;)

The PC USB port won't source over 1A regardless [except the new USB 3, which may deliver up to 5A and at least 3A] Some powered hubs can already deliver several amps.

How much current it sucks down is directly related to the resistance of the heating element. You can't go wrong by getting a higher-current power supply. You may find it does nothing for you, it may help. But the "do nothing more" is your worst-case scenario. I run mine on a 10,000mA source. :)

Hopefully it will help with better power to produce more of a drag, thanks for your input you sure know your stuff.I've never been mechanically inclined I'm a salesmen;)
