is that the same size screen as the old one? just with a bigger screen cutout section?????? that's what it looks like to me. can someone post a pic, side by side, of each version's screen lit up?
Don't have the V2, sorry but they say it is large screen. Perfect candidate for a DNA60 I'm thinking.

EDIT: Here is a screen grab from Pauly Meatballs Video. See what you are saying.

Here is a pic of a V1. Best I can do for a side by side comparison. You might be right.
lol, the V1 one looks bigger! you can tell it's the same size screen on the V2 but with a new larger plastic screen cover. the display characters are the same size, the layout etc. screen to screen. shame on you smoant! however, the V2 with the bigger screen cutout would be a great candidate for the dna 60, you are correct on that.

Provided that the internal layout of the mod has not changed an awful lot. V2 does not have the removable modular pre-wired control panel the v1 did & that is suggestive of further changes internally. We've seen with Evolv that screen changes can take significant lead times. Perhaps the screen size currently installed a a tactical "faux pa" to field equipment samples to justify a technical "8/8" release date while solving logistical supply issues given the perceived pubic announcement that might be considered questionable at best.

101vape will not be carrying it (because they consider it a post 8/8). They are playing it safe. FT seems to be only best source for it right now. Smoant said it was a pre 8/8 product that was delayed in production and would be available in the US on their Facebook page when I asked back in August.

Vaporbeast still only carrying the V1 as well.

that's 2 piece pcb. most likely brains on one, converter on the other, judging by the amount of pins on the ribbon and components on the "switch" board. hey Tpat, you know what i like?.......really good close up shots of pcb's! yay!:hubba::thumbs: i understand if she's already put back together and you don't feel like taking her apart again.

edit.....that screens looks the same size as an evolv large screen .91". so why do the characters look so small!? optical illusion??? lol

Mine is still on the slow boat from china. Those were the biggest screen clips I could grab from the Russian language video here:

I was thinking they had the switchboard redone from the old V1 units so they could incorporate the charging circuit Electronics for the usb charger. It wouldn't make a lot of sense to try and add any other components to the Switchboard & china is famous for having a lot larger charging boards with so many more components than Evolv.

You can see the backs of the switches on the board judging by the placement and it looks like they arranged the charging circuits around the switches, which would be ideal to keep the original switchboard and usb charger & try to pick up the data pins (hopefully they incorporated into the ribbon for firmware updates now or in the future).

The ribbon inexplicably looks like it goes into the battery sled & not to the main board. Wont know more until I actually get one in my hands.

Yeah, that display does seem to be pretty darn big. If you look at his video it does seem the numbers are slightly larger on his, but the standard menus seem small. Maybe their board isn't formatted properly for the display.

just make sure to take yers apart and take some good pics. i likey them circuits porn.
You know I'll be in touch as I'm not very good at reading the functional components of the boards myself. I can solder a wire where they tell me to but that is about the limit of my skills.

I do want to try and keep the switchboard & USB charging intact & possibly the ribbon and I am fearful they put some of the logic circuits on the switchboard this time around. Not sure if they are looping ribbon around to the main board inside the battery sled which makes more sense than not, but that ribbon is nowhere near the main board where it enters the sled and you can clearly see the data trace "pins" where it enters.

Have to try vaping on the stock board setup as it may function well enough & not need to be replaced at all. Those TC traces for the V2 look a hell of a lot better than the original V1 traces did.

even if the charging circuit, or whatever, is integrated within the switch board, there's always a workaround. "where there's a will......."

i'll guarantee you that ribbon goes into the board with the screen attached to it. i'm not sure what you mean, really. that ribbon goes from the front board to the back one. the ribbon is surface mount so you wouldn't see traces on the opposite side of the pcb. no worries tho, if need be we'll ditch EVERYTHING!

Knight V2 Delivered Today. Weight is really good! So much lighter than V1 & much lighter than I expected it to be. It almost seems too light, and there can be some movement in the base of the battery door.

The Talos only comes with a Clapton 0.5ohm coil so no TC on that, nor do I consider it a great tank. To test the Mod I'm currently running a Cubis w/ 0.25ohm notch at 470f@50w to provide a rapid pre-heat & she's vaping great!

Had ordered a white one as well on the 4th with the Autumn sale which is waiting to ship & now I'm sorry I didn't order 2 more. This one looks to be a winner in my book!
