Don't have the V2, sorry but they say it is large screen. Perfect candidate for a DNA60 I'm thinking.is that the same size screen as the old one? just with a bigger screen cutout section?????? that's what it looks like to me. can someone post a pic, side by side, of each version's screen lit up?
lol, the V1 one looks bigger! you can tell it's the same size screen on the V2 but with a new larger plastic screen cover. the display characters are the same size, the layout etc. screen to screen. shame on you smoant! however, the V2 with the bigger screen cutout would be a great candidate for the dna 60, you are correct on that.View attachment 600809
Here is a pic of a V1. Best I can do for a side by side comparison. You might be right.
Provided that the internal layout of the mod has not changed an awful lot. V2 does not have the removable modular pre-wired control panel the v1 did & that is suggestive of further changes internally. We've seen with Evolv that screen changes can take significant lead times. Perhaps the screen size currently installed a a tactical "faux pa" to field equipment samples to justify a technical "8/8" release date while solving logistical supply issues given the perceived pubic announcement that might be considered questionable at best.lol, the V1 one looks bigger! you can tell it's the same size screen on the V2 but with a new larger plastic screen cover. the display characters are the same size, the layout etc. screen to screen. shame on you smoant! however, the V2 with the bigger screen cutout would be a great candidate for the dna 60, you are correct on that.

that's 2 piece pcb. most likely brains on one, converter on the other, judging by the amount of pins on the ribbon and components on the "switch" board. hey Tpat, you know what i like?.......really good close up shots of pcb's! yay! i understand if she's already put back together and you don't feel like taking her apart again. They used a ribbon cable from switches to board. That will make a DNA60 swap a bit more interesting.

Mine is still on the slow boat from china. Those were the biggest screen clips I could grab from the Russian language video here:that's 2 piece pcb. most likely brains on one, converter on the other, judging by the amount of pins on the ribbon and components on the "switch" board. hey Tpat, you know what i like?.......really good close up shots of pcb's! yay! i understand if she's already put back together and you don't feel like taking her apart again.
edit.....that screens looks the same size as an evolv large screen .91". so why do the characters look so small!? optical illusion??? lol
You know I'll be in touch as I'm not very good at reading the functional components of the boards myself. I can solder a wire where they tell me to but that is about the limit of my skills.just make sure to take yers apart and take some good pics. i likey them circuits porn.
even if the charging circuit, or whatever, is integrated within the switch board, there's always a workaround. I do want to try and keep the switchboard & USB charging intact & possibly the ribbon and I am fearful they put some of the logic circuits on the switchboard this time around. Not sure if they are looping ribbon around to the main board inside the battery sled which makes more sense than not, but that ribbon is nowhere near the main board where it enters the sled and you can clearly see the data trace "pins" where it enters.
Have to try vaping on the stock board setup as it may function well enough & not need to be replaced at all. Those TC traces for the V2 look a hell of a lot better than the original V1 traces did.
