Another awesome vid Super_X_Drifter!

I thank you and Treebeard for turning us on to this stuff. GKD really is the best money can buy right now and it's so easy to use.

Perfect example of exactly how much to use. It's not as easy as you might think to find a vid on exactly how much to use and how to do it right. Could you add this latest vid to your sticky?

Also, would you happen to have a centralized location for all your awesome video links? I have a cut/paste sheet but it would be really cool to have another reference to point to and save folks hours of research time. Just curious if you might already have something like that.

Again thank you so much for taking the time... It's not as easy as you make it look... Very much appreciated.

I went on the hunt for some of Koh Gen Do cotton locally and Sephora didn't have any... (Wrong mistake to take my wife with me to this store)! What they did have was some Shiseido Facial Cotton and I picked some up. No where on the package does it say organic the only thing that it does show is a small logo that states, "Confidence in Textiles. Tested for harmful substances according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100". Do you all think this is safe enough to use as vaping media?

Here is a link to the Oeko-Tex Factsheet: https://www.oeko-tex.com/media/downloads/Factsheet_OETS_100_EN.pdf

Pauly, the guys over in the big micro coil thread that have both believe its nearly identical the KGD and really like it too.

Check the thread, last several pages. Perhaps ask any questions there too. Both kinds are blowing up right now :)

It's in coil builds / micro coils to increase flavor / vaper and throat hit :)

Thanks to my buddy Russ I tried out this Koh Gen Do today... let me start by saying Russ is the man, and two... this stuff is the biz! It seems to hold more juice than the ole cotton balls and not that I ever got any cotton taste from the cotton balls or cvs rolled cotton but this stuff is much easier to make wicks out of. Not only that but you know for sure that this stuff is organic, cmon it even has the cotton seeds still! Now time to order a few boxes to see how long those will last me along with the nic base I ordered from MFS.

Thanks again bud... good lookin out, now if we could only get our teams to win the series. That damn youngin the ducks got is a beast!

Thanks for this thread sup, I wanted to give this stuff a try so I snagged some at the local Sephora.

I was so excited...then I opened the box and realized the entire package, cotton included, had absorbed a swatch of cologne/perfume odor from sitting in the shelves LMFAO. Since I'm an unflavored guy there's not much to hide that aroma ya dig.

I may do some boiling and see what happens. It might be best to have this shipped rather than get it from the local smells like a woman shop...;) (or just chalk it up to bad luck for me)

Got mine in..........I don't see any benefit over my CVS rolled coton, other then I feel safer/better using this cotton.

I still get that same nasty cotton taste for a bit with my unflavored, but it is a lot softer and easier to make wicks out of.

Bro, your wick is too thick if you get any taste with this cotton even on the first hit.

New wick installed and dry/trimmed

New wick squonked and positioned

Soaked as I type this...still taste the cotton, just a tiny bit though and it has gone away completely after 5 vapes.

I got a dry tasting hit....You can see that it got slightly burned and now the flavor is ruined forever.

That being said....ever since I switched 10 wraps of 24G wire and my SO kit.....its been hard to get a good vape because it just runs so hot that squonking cant even keep up for one nice long drag.

My coil is made around my DZ jig 1/16 and comes out to 0.54 every time....should I maybe just go back to 28G?

Still too much cotton?

Yes. 28 ga would prolly help. Another thing, with KGD cotton, don't roll it up, just twist the tip. It should thread thru with very little resistance. If it binds at all remove some.

If you taste cotton, even on the first hot it's too thick. My wick requires only about 10 seconds time to saturate from the first squonk then it's game on. No cotton taste.
