Hey super. Thanks for the video. I am however a bit confused. In the video I see you twisting the entire wick instead of twisting just the tips of the wick. But here you write that you should only twist the tips. I believe you said the same in another koh gen do thread. So what's the verdict? Only twist the tips and leave the rest if the wick flat? Or twist everything gently so that the wick is not flat but rather cylindrical? Thanks!

I don't twist the wick only the tip. Sometimes I press the wick gently to shape it, sometimes I don't. I find it works best uncompressed and untwisted. Just maybe pressed a little if your in the pressing mood. :)

I'm glad to see you here and look very forward to you getting your REO. I can't wait to hear how feel about it :)

Here's one but no worries, you can't get em right now. It's just a little more than a SL / LP REO :)

It's a chalice rba by Mark bugs :) totally not necessary but a killer guilty pleasure :)

Look how sweet they look on a Woodvil (oh that's another one but you can't get them right now either :))

Hi fa q, are you twisting the entire wick? Or just the tips and leaving the rest of the wick flat and not touched? Thanks :)

Sorry, i missed this earlier. I only twist the end to get it through the coil. if the resistance becomes too much while i'm pulling it through i give it a slight stretch to thin it out a little.

Hi sXD!
Question, I know you have tried the celluctoon and now the kennyG cotton. What are your findings in the difference between the two?
I tried the celluctoon and was good. Still have ReadyXwick on my "road" REOs.
just curious as I value your opinion. :)

Treebeard mentioned how killer this cotton was while back. I started using it about a month ago and it's a game changer.

If you wick it correctly there is absolutely ZERO cotton flavor even on the first hit. So keep that in mind. If you taste any cotton when you first hit it, take it out and remove some because it's too thick.

Here's my vid of how I do it :)

Great vid Super! Like most good things, it is out of stock everywhere in my area and some online places. Waiting, just like many to try this stuff. :vapor:

Real KGD is up on fleaBay now along with multi brand sample packs for those who want compare real koh gen do with the easier to find (read cheaper) alternatives...

Koh Gen Do:
Koh Gen do Japanese Organic Cotton Pads Authentic Koh Gen do Japan Vape RBA | eBay

Compare all the main brands at once:
Koh Gen do MUJI Labo Puff More 6 Kinds Japanese Organic Cotton Sampler | eBay

Personally I have found that the Shiseido is bleached and prolly NOT organic... looks NOTHING like real KGD
The only one I have found to be close to Koh Gen Do is the one that says PUFF on the package (see sampler link above) Those appear to unbleached and look A LOT like real KGD. They ARE smaller and not as fluffy though.

I got the Cotton Labo "Puff" pads on amazon and they work great. I got tired of looking for KGD.... 200 pads for ten bucks is really good IMO, especially for what we're using it for :p ... If I somehow managed to run out, I would probably order this stuff again. It took about two weeks to get here from chinatown...

Way back when I bought KDG it was widely available for about $13 a box shipped. So at $9 shipped now on Fleabay that's a deal. Never had any interest in trying the others, still don't. Have all the KGD I'll probably ever need on this end of life even though it is my main wicking cotton again after a false start with CC. Plus the SnC/PnC and organic cotton balls that came before it I still have plenty of that are still usable in a pinch. What they give up in wicking speed to KGD (and especially CC) would not be a factor in a Reo for my uses.

Whether or not to Split (or peal) the sheets seems to be dependent on the size of your coil (or the area you need to fill with cotton).

The most important thing about using KGD (or other high end cotton) is NOT to twist it. Almost everyone you see giving the KGD a "Meh" grade is treating it the same as they did their old CVS balls.

You have to use it right to get the premium results.

I have absolutely no problems and I don't twist either [emoji106]
