Just cold, the more you add the colder it gets. No mint at all ever, it's just a cold temp control dial :)

After so much it's so cold you'll even swear your breathing out cold air, I've felt it like that blowing it slowly on my hand, so I really do think it somehow effects the temp of the vapor not just our perception of it.

Too much can make it unvapeable too, so be careful if you try to go really cold. It's not that it makes it too cold when that happens, it just makes it so you can't breath it in or out for some reason, like it irritates something in your throat so you can't breath it right and it makes you cough.

It's definitely a fun and versatile addition to anyone's arsenal, everyone should have a bottle!

You can use it to make icy fruits, iced teas or other iced drinks like tropical freezers or iced coffee's. And then of course, you can also use it in mint/menthol mixes to increase the cold while not affecting the overall flavor, like too much mint or menthol can easily do if you're not careful.

Just don't make the mistake I did. I often test new flavorings by putting one drop right on a cartomizer filled with pg/vg and did one drop of Koolada. Talk about throat hit! It took about 5 or six 15-drop top offs before I could inhale with that carto again.

Haha, that's too funny!! I did similar once, but no extra PG/VG, straight made from crystals menthol solution on SS w/ IGO, talk about WOW!!!

What is Koolada made from? I mean like what is it?
I make tons of DIY for me and a bunch of friends and most of them want all their juice with it now.
I just was wondering what it's made from. :)

angel farts!

I don't know but I'm enjoying strawberry watermelon koolada right this very minute.

I'm curious as to what this is, too.. Did this start from TFA? Maybe they were able to take the minty aspect out of menthol crystals?? I'd really like to know what the hell I'm inhaling here, ya know..

Perhaps more importantly, I've been wanting to find the crystals themselves. I have over a gallon of PG here at home - don't need to spend money shipping THAT. I was able to find the ethyl maltol crystals - btw easy to get mixed in a glass graduated cylinder in an ultrasonic cleaner. And menthol crystals. But koolada crystals seem nowhere to be found outside of pre-mixed.

I can't pronounce it but I think it's not a derivative of menthol? Some warnings include "wear eye protection" and "harmful if swallowed" so best use it sparingly. Believe me I know from experience, less than 1% knocks my socks off.

Don't think it comes from menthol crystals, Hoggy, it doesn't taste like anything, just feels cold.

YIKES! That's not too reassuring.

But I have been finding I like it better, since it doesn't alter flavors. I used to be a menthol smoker - but with the pre-mixed menthols I've tried, they're nothing but straight menthol so far - so I've given up on vendor menthols. Maybe some koolada with a diluted menthol mix and tobacco flavoring might work.

It seems that with that supplier, it may still be a liquid they're selling. But at least I have a chemical name to try and find the crystals themselves now. Although, given that info I'm wondering if it could be 'poisonous' like nicotine - like the reason why regular consumers can't buy straight nicotine powder. (Which I certainly wouldn't want to, btw.) Maybe these crystals need to be treated the same way..??

Where's one of our chemists at? :)
