KR808 PCC with a Stealth-Will it Work?

Sorry I was forced to post here because I'm a new member....Ive long since figured out the basics myself.

And I'm sure someone has tried this ........Can you use a KR808D1 PCC with a 808 to 510 Stealth Adapter.

I think it should work .....but i dont want to spend the money .... just to find out it doesnt work.


Already bought a regular 510 "smart" pcc ....... it's garbage!! ........so im still rockin my ego batts when the little
180 mahs die.......and the little batts are just more comfortable sometimes Anyways Rambling ......so ......Hope somebody has tried it already ...........Thanks.

I use big batteries and don't have the need for a passthrough. Sorry I can't help.

In my experience If you mix batteries with different chargers you stand a good chance of destroying 1, the other or both. I mixed batteries and chargers from different manufacturers and have killed them.

It has something to do with the voltage sent to the battery from the charger. Hopefully Dormouse comes along and answers this for you!

I have an old KR808 Starter kit around somewhere ..... i should check the output voltage of the charger .....I assume they are all 1A ...but ill check that too anyhow.

yea ur right brandon .....Same voltage different amperage. 510= 4.6v @ 500mA 808= 4.6V @ 0.1 A

suprised its that big of a difference ......the 510 would take forever to charge and (don't know alot about batteries but) would most likely damage it somehow.

Well I saw on some old threads that volcano used to make a 808 style charger for the mamga ........but apparently they no longer carry it ......but I was hoping ( along with the rest of the 510 world) that somebody had an answer.

510 batteries are not charged at 500mA. 500mA damages 510 batteries. 420mA damages 510 batteries. Slim 510 charger cables typically put out 150-200mA. The AC to USB adapter puts out 500mA, not the cable where the battery screws in.

whoops ....well i was using my ego charger for my 510 batteries ... i never actually bought a 510 kit .........but they ve lasted so far ....but i suppose its time to get a real 510 charger.

Well in that case dormouse the kr 808 pcc would work "ok" ....granted the battery would fit with a stealth adapter

dig the name btw ....
