KR808d-1 passthru

I have a new 808 kit with a usb passthru. When using the passthru, it tastes nothing like the batteries, seems like it is burning hotter or something. Is this normal? Will changing cartomizers help?

Passthroughs are a 5 volt device and will burn hotter. Be sure to keep that atty/cartomizer wet at all times. Oh, and welcome to ecf.

As S & S said, PT's run @ 5v while batteries run at ~3.7v. Changing cartomizers would help, try some in the 3.2 ohm range. Some juices taste better at different voltages too, so you might try a different one to see if it's better.

It's usually possible to find both 3.7v and 5v passthrus. I definitely see KR8 ones being sold from China that SAY 3.7v output voltage
