510->KR808D-1 & Greencig AltSmoke
Very small adapter, doesn't add much length to your ecig.

901->KR808D-1 VaporCountry
Very long adapter - Adds too much length for my tastes. Works well
though.

In order from top to bottom:
Cartomizer on the altsmoke adapter 510->808
510 atty with cart (for size comparison)
Cartomizer on the vapor country 901->808

The adapters alone:

** I haven't received my 510->808 adapter yet, but I was told it was the same size as the 510->901 adapter with the addition of air holes**

KR-808, greencig, and 901s are all threaded the same. However, there are different issues with these three models that are all airflow related.

KR-808 airflow:
The battery of a KR-808 has holes drilled through the threads allowing air to flow from the side to the area between the threads and center button. The carto has groves milled into the center button. So in a stock 808 setup the air flows through the holes on the batt thread and then through the grooves on the carto button.

KR-808 carto to 901 battery:
1) Get the adapter from VaporCountry
2) use a staple mod to allow a gap between the batt and carto this still may not allow enough airflow, as the 901 batt threads don't have holes.
3) modify your 901 battery. Just use a dremel to carve a groove all the way across your battery (threads and button). This will allow the air to flow.

KR-808 carto to greencig battery:
Screw and go. No mod needed.

KR-808 carto to 510 battery
Get a 901 atty to 510 battery adapter from AltSmoke.com and use procedure 2 or 3 above. I think Altsmoke might be carrying KR-808 cartos to 510 batts adapters soon to.

Greencig carto to KR-808 battery
greencig cartos don't have the groove carved into the button. So you can staple mod it or carve the grove across the button on the 808 battery. Or you could groove all your greencig cartos (I chose to do the 808 batt).

Hope this helps some of the 808 (and greencig) owners out there.

Edit: Damn...I type too slow :)

This is my first post and I haven't even started yet, just trying to put together an order and learn along the way....please bear with me.

OK...Health Cabin sells passthroughs and batteries that say they will work for both the 808 (which I'm getting) and the 901.
Currently they are out of the passthroughs.

They do have the passthroughs in stock for the 901 however, so my question is can I use these with the 808?

They also have an adapter called "901 Battery connecter to KR Cartomizer"
This is what the description says: [With this connecter KR Cartomizer(Atomisers with cartridge inside) can work well with DSE901 Battery!]

It doesn't say anything about passthroughs though. Wouldn't the connection be the same on a battery and passthrough?
Or do I have this all wrong?
Would I need this and would that make it work?

Highping's post leads me to believe that it would only be an airflow issue, and this adapter should fix that problem (I think)...am I even close?

Thanks in advance for any help with this issue!

TrueGeminii: Welcome to the forum!

You are correct. The 808 carto will screw onto the 901 passthrough. The only (posisble) issue would be with airflow. The 808 battery has a couple holes in the threads that alow the air to come in from the bottom of the carto. The 901 has a hole on the side of the atty for air, so on the passthrough they may not have those holes. I say 'may not' because all of the 901 adapters I have been seeing are now coming with those holes, so the PT may also. I'm not 100% sure on that though. If it doesn't have those holes, you can either modify very easily with a dremel (if you're into that kind of thing), or you can use a "staple mod", or you can get that adapter.
The only issue I have with the adapter is that it is not really necessary since it can be replaced with a staple that costs .0001 cents. It also adds about an inch of length, but that will probably not bother you on a passthrough.

I'm looking for an adapter which will allow connection between a KR808D-1 battery and the Janty Kissbox Classic atomizer, which I understand is 302 compatible.

Also, is there such an animal as an 808 battery which does not have the end tip LED? The only PV I own which doesn't have the end tip LED is my Kissbox Classic, and I like that fact about it. TIA.

i bookmarked vapor station because their 510 kits included 3 batteries, one with blue led, one with blacklight led, and one with no led.

I'm confused...did you maybe mean 901 or possibly 510??
I was interested in checking out the blacklight led, but I don't see a 501 listed.
I'm new so I'm still trying to figure out all the names and numbers, and which is compatible with what!

I have the KR808D-1. Not so happy so far...makes me choke everytime, but still not much vapor.
I enjoy smoking way more at this point.
Not sure if this is gonna work for me...maybe I'm doing it wrong

Question on K8 Cartos in general... I decided to try KR808D Cartomizers on my 510 box mod. I purchased an adapter from MadVapes (same short one from AltSmoke in post #2) and 10 blank cartos from AltSmoke. What I've found in the first carto I tried was that the draw was extremely hard. The only way to get an easy draw, similar to a 510 atty, was to unscrew the carto so that it was barely threaded into the adapter. From what I've read, most folks seem to think cartos have too loose of a draw.

Are these normally a vastly harder draw than the 510 atty? Or is it possible I just got an over-stuffed carto?

I've got the same question as devnull71 above. I just ordered the 510->KR808D adapter from madvapes and a box of 510 cartomizers pre-filled, box of premium KR808D blank cartos, and box of standard KR808D cartos.

Tried out the 510 carto and vaped for 2 solid hrs without a hitch. It had better and louder draw than standard atty/cart setup. Fine..good to go there.(still need blanks for refilling though).

Then I hooked up the 808 adapter on my 3.7v 510 mod and loaded an 808 cartomizer. No friggin' draw at all and it got very warm as I tried to draw on it. I made sure not to overfill the cart and even tried blowing through each end as someone had suggested..can't get any kind of draw at all. I noticed the two holes in the adapter and made sure they were lined up with the spaces in the carto to allow air. Didn't help. I also tried this on both the standard and the premium 808 cartos..same problem.

I'm figuring it's an air problem..cause I can't get any air movement. But what to do about it. I was really looking forward to trying cartomizers as an answer to fiddling with stuff on the road or in town. I can just use the 510 cartos but wanted to mess around some with the V4L cartos and flavors for convenience.

ok..I figured this out I think...I gently screwed the adapter onto the cartomizer and then gently screwed it into the 510 base. Works fine. It was fully tightened..not loose..just not "wrenched" on. It's a double threading issue..if you screw one tight and then the next one tight..you'll tighten the first one even tighter as you go. And I guess it's just tight enough to shutdown the air. So gentle works.

you may want to double check the vinyl wrapper on the cartomizer.....I have noticed they often block the four notches in the KR808d1 connection, thus eliminating all air passage....a trim with a razor sharp knife will solve the problem......
