Hi all! New here! My husband and I just got our first e-cig. We went with the DSE103 which we kinda like but want to try some others. Cartridges hold very little and my husband drives truck and doesn't like fiddling around dropping. I have been looking at the KR808d and am not sure which to pick the manual or auto. any opinions?

I prefer the manual, no need to do a primer puff. But other than that there is little difference. Some feel the auto is more cigarette like in feel because they don't need to hit a button. There is also a risk of getting juice inside the auto battery and ruining it, the manual battery is closed. For truck driving I'd suggest a USB Passthrough with a car adapter. No need to worry about charging batteries and you can get those in either auto or manual also.

Lots of people like manuals, and I have a few myself. They are great for burning off a carto that's a little too moist, and you don't have to worry about getting juice in it like you would an auto.

Having said that, I have a distinct preference for autos. It's not that pushing a button is hard to get the hang of or anything... I just like the "puff-puff-puff" feel of an auto. I spent years learning how to puff on a cigarette to get just the sort of hit I wanted, and auto batteries provide the same thing. With manuals, you only have two options - on or off.

I love puffing up huge clouds of vapor, puffing like a cigar occasionally without inhaling... Manuals don't give that same resistance. Some think the primer puff is a hassle... to me it is the best part of the experience.

YMMV, but don't dismiss autos just because most people on the forum say so. They have their advantages.

I started with autos and just got my manuals in the mail yesterday. I have to tell you all I read about a better hit and flavor are very true with the manual batteries. I am very happy with the manual, but I will still keep all my autos for times when pushing the button might be a pain (I really don't think it every will be though). So my vote now goes for the manual. Good luck!

I really like my autos, simpler to just take a puff.
At my computer, my PT is a manual.
I'm not sure how easy it is to kill batteries, unless folks really have buckets of stuff leaking out the bottom of the carto. When I put a new carto on I blow through it onto a tissue to clear any random liquid (I manually fill using the condom method), haven't noticed any issue.
I'm using KR808 batteries from NHaler and V4L.
