I did. Isuppose he's busy. it's a Shame it appealed to me more than getting a pro-fairy

I think he must be tied up with something. I have been waiting to hear from him too. I'm so very sorry about your mod. That just makes me sick. At least I know mine is fixable. Hang in there though, I know he will be getting back with us.

Ladies and gents I haven't forgot you, I just finished a 27 page research paper, a 17 page research paper, a 9 page case study, and 2 quizzes over the last 8 days along with trying to study for my finals monday and tuesday.

It's been rough and very draining so when my eyes hurt bad enough to stop I just don't have it in me to come play. I really do apologize and I will get you all taken care of over the next couple of days. Evilbloke, don't fret I haven't had that happen before but I will try my best to fix it up for you. Same for everyone else I will be emailing shortly.

Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls of all ages, I've finished! I actually think I did very well on one of my finals and pretty well on the others but I have completed all of that jazz!

The best news is that I will be putting more effort into modding over the next few weeks as I will have more time off and be taking care of the orders that I have and some special interests that I have as well.

I've been a ghost lately and that was mainly due to heavily stress of finals and working, but YAY I'm done for a while with school.

How is everyone else been out there? Anything new and exciting, anyone picked up anything cool that I've missed?

Congrats and welcome back James! Good to see you posting again. I've really been enjoying the Flip, tons of power for a long time with this thing! If I'm sitting at the computer, which I do way too much, I'm vaping the Flip. I'd probably order another one for a back up along with another Little Man or a straight 14500 evercool if you were still modding. Been looking at the Vmax as a high power upgrade for the Lavatube. It sounds good so far but seems over priced to me. I'm a box mod kinda guy but a gadget lover too so I may talk myself into it!

With DNA? Mad scientist is slightly out of my league, but I did get my scores for the semester. Got a 97% in MG352 and 101 in PH308! Nothing like scoring perfect on a 27 page research paper and final, fairly sure the rest of class might be ...... I crushed the curve.

On a different note, I finished my first mod in a bit last night: Blue on Blue Little Man. I will be moving on to others tomorrow night as I spent a good portion of today babysitting rugrats and I'm just bushed.

Hope everyone elses week is treating them well and I'll be posting some more tomorrow night.

As said in EVOLV's website:
"DNA lets anyone build Evolv’s revolutionary power regulated technology into their own products. It is a digital 12 watt adjustable power regulator. It features controlled power from 5 to 12 watts, runs from a single lithium cell and includes protective features such as overcurrent, over and undervoltage protection and a thermal shutdown. Power levels are set with a simple external potentiometer, and transistor based switching means the mod designer no longer has to use the same expensive, clunky, high current waterproof switches as everyone else. Two DNA boards can be combined into a Double Helix for running dual coil attomizers at up to 24 watts."

I bet you could do marvels with thouse.

I like the idea of an integrated mini-USB, the reason it's really possible with the evolv DNA stuff is because it's all built to run off a single cell. It's not that I'm really against single cell units, but normally I like dual cell tech just because it allows batteries to stay within their safe voltage/amperage output range without having to be boosted with a buck style converter.

I may look at some of the stuff when it gets to the production point, didn't find much info about when it will be available to look at and purchase though.

Gotta show my ingnorance here. How about DNA and two batteries in parallel?

You could run a parallel battery system but all it would really do is intensify the amperage output, you have to be careful when you do something like that with 2 18650s or higher because your basically adding the two together and it could be up to 6 amps, a lot of tech doesn't have that capability.

There is negatives to both single battery bucked and dual battery in series, dual battery in series does have to send through one battery and may not discharge the exact same amount out of each battery and could possibly put more stress one one, while single battery that's bucked guarantees you're stressing the battery. I understand that the buck conversion is happening outside of the battery but continuous draw is going to force the chip to exert the battery further than it's supposed to, I've considered a way to have larger capacitors that may not exert the battery as much but haven't really dug into it much.

As far as the website goes, that's still something I'm considering or not to reopen or just keep it really small time again.
