Lanyards, does anyone actually use them?

It's all about pockets. Why would I want something like that dangling around my neck?

Spoken like a vaper who's never broken the stems off cartos or had a device activate in a pocket.

(In case you didn't know...it gets rather...eh...HOT...!)

Consider yourself fortunate.

Often included in starter kits is a lanyard so you can wear your e-cig around your neck. Now personally, I think doing this makes ya look like a fool, but it may have some practical uses, like if you don't have pockets and your working on an assembly line or something where your hands are busy all the time. Also may be good for those of us who tend to misplace things.

However, I have never seen anyone actually wearing one? Does anyone here use em?

Just wondering, not trying to be offensive or anything, this is my opinion only.

This is funny!

The day we bought our first Ego kits the people in the Vape shop (BreathEz Ft Smith, Arkansas) were wearing lanyards. When we got in my truck, I commented to Ann how silly they looked with ecigs hanging from lanyards.

The very next week we were driving to Florida, puffing away the whole trip. Man, about 1 hour into the drive I was wishing so bad that we had a couple of those silly lanyards. 10 hours later my arm was cramping from holding my ecig! The very next day we found a local shop in Pensacola and we were proud owners and users of two lanyards! Mine is Razorback red and Ann's is pimped with fake jewels!

The drive back to Arkansas was so much more pleasant!

I know I'm going to get flamed. Everyone's got their thing. I just think that lanyards and belt clips are today's version of fanny packs. My old fanny pack is retired along with my mullet. Both seemed cool at the time, but the pictures tell another story. A very comical story.

You really think someone would flame you for articulating how foolish people are who adorn themselves in a manner you find comical?

I'm sure a lot of non-vapers find ALL of us foolish for sucking on metal tubes.

So what? Like you said...everyone has their thing. Some of us are just a little more vocal about ridiculing people who's thing doesn't match our own.

I could give a sh...darn about "fashion accessories" or what anyone thinks about what I choose to wear around my neck or whether I vape.

They don't pay my bills, give me shelter or sleep with me.

To be perfectly frank, it's done of their business. Why they would be concern themselves with something they obviously distain is bewildering, if not down right ignorant.

I wouldn't admonish them, though. But if they annoyed me enough I'd respectfully suggest they'd live THEIR lives and allow OTHER people the same courtesy.

OK folks, I never thought I would be happy about wearing a bra, but it is the best lanyard I have found. In the car/truck, it is in the bra or on the little drawer/table on the the seat next to me in a holder. I am so going to get one of the wood cup holder mod holder! It fits in the cup holder in the car and holds three PVs/APVs. Can have the holes made to order. They also sit on the desk/table etc. But really, the bra is the best place. I highly recommend underwire bras for more safety when carrying the mods.

I'm sure it works great, but somehow I think I'd face more ridicule from wearing a bra than I would from a lanyard.

I use one when I kayak fish. Keeps my hands free and keeps my eGo from getting really wet. It still gets drops on it, but not enough to cause issues. Admittedly though, fishing is one of the few times I really miss smoking. I used to chain smoke while fishing. Can't chain vape, hold a rod, and one handed paddle all at the same time.

"I'm not kidding! I watched the woman pull something out of her BRA...SMOKE it...and shove it right back! The darnedest thing I ever saw!"

I never thought of it in this context! I will most definitely continue to do this just so folks can have something to discuss over dinner and drinks!

Definitely a conversation starter.

Unfortunately, though, I will now be unable to see or think of lanyards without associating them with bras.

I do hope you're proud of yourself.

them lanyards come in handy! i was in the hospital and just after i had my "procedure" i snuck a twist with an evod under my gownie thingy. no one noticed! (except the guy who brought lunch. i was vaping when he came in)

got to vape the whole time i was there! i was using a yellow evod (the color for my dulche de leche), it popped through the hole in the front for that thingy you get all wired up to, but it wasn't noticeable with all the other colored wires!

i use them all the time anyway, don't wanna break anything in my pocket. the convenience outways what anyone might think. and i don't really care what anyone might think, so...

I like the lanyard for when I go biking. Was at an outdoor festival today and decided to wear my ego/Vivi Nova, didn't notice any strange looks although I imagine I looked like a dork (which isn't unusual, lol). Though I did get one girl ask me "is that a pen," to which I replied, "no, it's an electronic cigarette". "Scary", was her response. Ah, the ignorance of the many...

Live and let live is my motto. I only ridicule my friends. I've got a bit of a twisted sense of humor which people I know seem to rather enjoy. Just stating my reasons for not wearing a lanyard, belt holster, fanny pack and retiring the mullet I had back in 7-8th grade. I frequently contemplate growing my mullet back though.

Edit: I wouldn't mind going all Mr. T and rocking my Vamo on some heavy gold chains. Gold is kind of going out of style now, so maybe going Mr. T with white gold or platinum. I'd have to have a custom made Vamo in platinum to match the chains however. Can't mix different metal finishes, ya know.

You have given me many laughs, chortles and chuckles today. DH found it quite amusing as well. I thank you! I just finished my bookkeeping for the last week/two weeks. Returning here and laughing for a bit was just what the doctor ordered. I do not like my accounting program but it was written by a trucker for truckers and trucking companies and it is the best I have found for under $500. HOWEVER, it thinks like a trucker not like an accounting program and I think like a mental health worker or maybe a person in need of a mental health worker, hell I don't know! Anyway, laughter was the right thing to do after a stint immersed in the program.

I'm definitely one of the "no way in ell am I wearing a dorky lanyard around my neck" people.

HOWEVER, I went camping at the lake this past weekend so knowing that I'd have no pockets, and knowing I was going to leave my Provari at home for fear of drunken lake shenanigans, I broke down and bought one for my Spinner :(

So yeah, that was me wearing the purple bikini with purple lanyard, with the purple Spinner dangling between my boobs.

Totally hot.

Sounds pretty hot...But anything dangling between boobs is hot...and purple is my favorite color.

On second thought, maybe not anything!

I use one at concerts. Not because it gets lost but because I'm a metalhead and anything in pockets is going to get broken. So, at shows I keep it around my neck and put it in my shirt for the pit so that my arms are blocking it from getting hit.

Other than that...NO!
