Hi from Poland :)

I've found this mod. I think that's very simple and good looking.

I've bought 2 lasers form DX.
First one was as described Cisco. I like 801 atomizer. So thread is for 801.
But there is problem to fit this atomizer. So i'm using on this mod 901 atomizer with adapter.

Then i go to Solidworks and made part that will nicely fit my 801 atomizers
My adapter is made from 7075 aluminium. And it took minutes to made it on CNC :).

Cisco - thank you for good idea.

I can't post pictures :( So i can't show you what i made.

Does anyone have a working link to the pics for this mod? I combed through this thread, tried the PDF file links, they had been deleted, so still no pictures to help me with this mod. I am also stuck trying to get the guts out, I may have been too forceful, and might have damaged something in there, but can't tell because they won't come out. I unthreaded the laser housing, and it stops right above the switch and won't go any further.

Oh man, I'm so sad and frustrated right now, I was about to assemble (press fit) my laser mod and I realized that there was a short, I took it appart and I just can't figure it out. My pcb is the one that doesn't have any resistor, instead it has a little black rectangular thing that I removed already.

I just can't find the problem, my impression is that the short is already happening in the pcb, cause I'm trying to follow the path of the positive with a meter and between one of the + legs of the switch and... well I just don't know what is wrong,

any help would be appreciated

Ok, so what I understand is that the pcb is only for positive and the laser housing is only for negative. So I'm guessing that after taking apart both parts to cut them (since I'm using a 510 connector) somehow I just lost isolation between the pcb and the brass laser housing.

I don't know why, but when the short happened my battery didn't heat that much, instead, the spring took all the damage and ended almost carbonized.

So, did you feel the heat at the button hole? I noticed Ikenvape has a vented cap model now. I don't want to lose the key ring loop though so I have to decide how I want to vent mine and not have it look tacky.
