    in a cave, eh?
Good news for Stretch Armstrong fans. Although Universal Studios announced they have dropped movie plans for the cheesy 70s toy, Relativity Media has picked up the option. They are redoing everything so bad news for Taylor Lautner fans, Lautner has been dropped.

In other news, dvd, cd and ebook sales are generating record profits despite the slow recessionary recovery. So, all the anti-piracy crap the major media companies are pushing appears to be about maximizing profits as opposed to covering losses due to piracy.

Are these signs of the impending apocalypse?

It's not about maximizing profits, it's about minimizing choices. Their profits are safe and they know it--they just want to be like Microsoft was for a while and be in control of all your options.

They can't do that. I don't want to have to scrounge for a new record player. I also kind of like the internet. I saw that South Park episode where it went down. It wasn't pretty. :(

what new music? like what?

That's what I'm saying, I don't know. It seems like T-Rex should have had a new tape out by now...

Hey! what? they quit making 8 tracks? :?:
what will I do if my Gerry Rafferty gets eaten like my BOC tape did? :p

I hope not, I just got finished installing a sweet "new" player in the car I picked up at a yard sale (the radio, not the car). As far as getting eaten, I would assume you bought multiple copies. I've got three copies of Astral Weeks I haven't even taken out of the box yet...

I've been listening to Agents Of Fortune - I think this ripper song may catch on and be a hit ;)

Do you mean "Don't fear the REAPER?" If so, I can't really see that catching on. I mean, who's afraid of a person who harvests grain?

On the other hand, both tattoos and vampires are really popular so I think that song will probably be in the top 40 for a long time...
