I wonder the same thing about wimmin sometimes.
I suppose it depends on how you came to adulthood. Neither my ex- nor my current wife was ever "alone"--they both went straight into relationships from home. Both seem to become absolutely useless when they get sick. Now, if all of us are sick in the house, the wife and the daughter never get out of bed and I don't get a chance to sleep until they are well.
Or perhaps it is simply that one person recognizes the other will handle things if they go whiney, while the other can't stand whiney people and refuses to be one... :shrug:
Either way, have you tried lacing his water with Everclear? Alcohol does wonders for putting sick people to sleep, even at very small serving sizes

i double dosed him on the NyQuil wont kill him and he will pass out I never even let on that I am sick then again I rarely if ever get sick I have had the flu once in the last 10 years blessed with a good immune system i guess
I used to be like that. The wife had severe postpartum depression and I ended up taking care of the baby for the first six months/year, so I ended up getting about 2 hours sleep a day. It was about when Rhianna turned two that I started getting sick "a lot."
