we decided on burgers for lunch.. I forgot to eat the other day before my 6 hour shift and almost passed out half way through.

buy a box of snack cracker sandwich things and keep it in your car--just in case. I keep a bowl-like object and several packs of ramen noodles in my desk. Getting half-way through a shift and remembering you didn't eat before-hand and have no way to get food now really inhales sharply...

I like soft boiled eggs. I like dipping them, i.e. another excuse to eat strips of hot-buttered toast. Apparently, modern genetically tinkered wheat really is the debil. :)

If I go to my grave with one or more arteries still open, I'm going to feel like I wasted a few of life's opportunities.

You are on the intarwebz now, bob. With only a little effort you can find out that everything is the debil...

I'm going to start bringing a pack of crackers. I was up at 10am and at the hospital with my uncle and had to be at work by 4:30 and work a 6 and half hours with no food all day. I was dying when I got off work.

It (usually) only takes one or two emergencies for me to figure out how to avoid them. Any kind of bulk-pack, individually packaged, non-temperature sensitive snacks in the glovebox or trunk is a good idea. Hungry at work...surprise traffic jam...spontaneous road trip...
