I just finished reading the last 16,866 posts. When I started, on the news they were talking about the possibility of sending a man to the moon. Is this true?

I don't believe it's scientifically possible to land on the moon without having rocket jets turning the surface into fromage vert brulee and destroying the local ecosystem. That, and nobody wants to pay the overdue parking tickets on the lunar rovers.

Not sure I could find them again--as a Supplier Associate there are many places that are off-limits to me now. But back when people first started saying this must be the biggest thread on ECF (back when there were barely over 10,000 posts) I found one that was 43,000 and one that was over 50,000. They're probably both bigger by now as well
