The weekend was great. I did come home kind of early, didn't want to drive in the rain. My friend got a big sweetheart of a Rottweiler a few days before we got there. 6 years old, her human had died 2 weeks ago and my friends vet talked her into it. She's an amazing dog. A little confused and sad, but still amazing.
Did some cool glass stuff, drank the best ever homemade wine and talked about other people who weren't there. lol

Glasseye your friend is an angel! I'm sure the dog knows that too. The poor pup is missing her human and will mourn for a while.

I had to put down a 6 yr old black lab about 4 yrs ago. At the time I had a 8 yr old yellow lab too.

The day we left with shadow to bring her to vet - when we returned shayna ( the yellow lab) hardly greeted us at the door. She looked past us out the door looking for shadow. This went on for a while maybe a month or more. When my partner returned home from work shayna would walk past her looking out the door into driveway. She would lay in garage for hours even after we were home like she was waiting for shadow.

Shayna also started sleeping on shadows bed. Before that she never laid on that bed.

We got shadow when she was 10 weeks old and shayna was about 1.5yrs old. Shayna was lost without her for a while.

We had to put shayna down this past August. We had shadows ashes and the day we had to put shayna down we couldn't afford cremation. So now they are both together again in my yard.

Makes me sad thinking about it.

The picture is me saying good bye to shayna a few hrs before we brought her to vet.

How was everyone's weekend? Bf and I went to Sacramento for a conference I needed to attend. Interesting crap, but more importantly, we both ate way too much.

Food is my hobby!

My weeKend was boring. House chores saturday and crappy weather cold windy rain on Sunday.

I attempted to hang narrow floating type shelves in my office which I plan to use for storing juice after I mix.

I discovered after going thru pounds of screws that I didn't have the right size screws to fit in brackets that are attached to the shelves.

Now there's pencil lines on my wall and shelves are sitting on floor in my office till i make my way to home depot.

I did hang a string on the wall horizontally so I can use clips like a clothes line to hold paper/ my client notes. I was using push pins lol. White board worked for a while but I got tired of cleaNing it.

RP I just checked the group on my desktop - it says

You need to be a member of this group to view its contents

Do you have to approve?

That's odd. I put anyone could join. When I finally get to a real computer, I'll check it out.

There's so many things I want to say about doggies, but I'm kinda speechless presently.

Came home to find that our pug-chi got into it with a quail under the palm fronds that make a hut for the rabbits and birds. Looks like he got beaked in the eyelid. Could also be from those nasty thorns on the dead fronds. Quail shot across the yard and slammed the chain link fence. Stumbled around for a while according to the wife. I found him dead in the same area. Gave the tot some asprin. Seems ok but looks like Popeye. (tots=turds of terror, 3 pups nickname)

Claire, I'm sorry about your puppies. That story just got me all teary too. We used to have a Husky and they got out one day (long story). She came home, but Brad the Husky didn't. She looked for him all over. She pulled me on walks looking for him. She KNEW he was out there somewhere. Turns out he was kind of dognapped and through a weird series of events came home 5 days later in the animal control van. You should have heard her scolding him! It was so funny.
But the day he took his final trip to the vet, she knew he wasn't coming home. No more looking and she was so sad. :( OK, enough.

Please help me understand the Group thing RP! Do we post here? Do we post there? Here a post, there a post, everywhere a post post?

awwww - it's amazing how animals react to loss of their best friends. whether its human or their 4 legged companion.

Hahaha sorry. My kids had their big test today...the one we've been preparing for all year. I've been a bit brain dead lately. Lots on my mind though. I've decided to switch to vg for awhile to see if some weird things can be blamed on pg. Hmmm...what else? I guess I need a day or two to get my brain in functioning order again.

I switched to using VG for my mixes. Not because of the clouds or the side affects, but mostly because I like the smoothness of VG. I know I'm missing out on flavor, but I'm over smoking and don't need nor want the throat hit I myself get from PG. I will say the cloudy vape can be a douchbag thing. Especially when you're using a carto tank and out and about in public and don't want to make a scene when vaping. So I just hold it in for a couple seconds and do a slow exhale.

Nice bottle grouping! I don't really have a vg/pg preference but I do like some clouds, just at home. I don't even take my PVs to indoor public places. I didn't smoke inside so I don't vape inside in public. I never noticed a flavor loss using high VG. Maybe my tastebuds just got too damaged, I don't know.
I'm hoping to mix up some new stuff tomorrow. I got a bunch of Inawera in and haven't been able to touch it yet. It's driving me nuts!
