Well, it's slightly taller than a Rough Stack Maxi and only a touch thinner. Don't need the extensions to use a DC tank so the overall mod becomes a bit shorter, but 1600mAh vs 3000mAh... I'll just have to see how it goes.

It's a bit darker than this but you get the point on size.

Well, with a cut spring (after the first large coil from the top) and a 40 cent O-ring from Ace Hardware to close the gap on the threads, I am now rocking a 3000mAh protected 18650 in this mod. With the cut spring it leaves about a 1/8th inch gap when trying to put the cap on, so the o-ring that just barely fit over the threads worked perfectly to hide the gap.

So, a small cut to the sprint, and a 18650 will work in it? That is honestly the only reason I didn't order one with my last juice order. Mabye Madvapes could offer the Bolt ready to go for an 18650...

3.7 volts with a 1.5 ohm atty beats 5 or 6 volt vaping any day for me

There are certain things I like at HV and certain things I like at 3.7v w/ LR. I'm really fond of many of my PG or high PG ratio juices at HV, but my VG and high VG ratio juices are mostly used at 3.7v with LR.

Just rolling around my desk right now, there is a VV box set to 4.8v with a standard dual coil - there is a 5.0v regulated mod with a 3.2 ohm single coil carto - there is a Maxi RS @ 6.0v with a 3.2 ohm boge carto - there is a regular RS @ 3.7v with a 1.8 ohm atty - there is a reo mini 3.7v with a 1.8 ohm boge carto - plus a variety of ego and ego clone batts running everything from CE2 MAP tanks to 1.7 ohm Smoke Tech cartos.

I appreciate standard voltage and high voltage for different reasons. One of the things that I enjoy so much about my maxi rough stacks is the variety of voltage choices I have - 3.7, 4.8, 6.0, and 7.4v.

The bolt and an extender have definitely made my "going to buy" list. When I buy one, I might finally feel OK about sending in all of my rough stacks at once for switch upgrades.

I have to agree with you six...some juices are good just under 5V...like ave's havana cigar. At 5V, it starts to lose it's awesome flavor...above that...nothing at all in the flavor department. A couple of virginvapor's juices are the same way...just right at 4.7 or 4.8V. That .2V makes a big difference.

One reason why people would choose the Bolt over the Maxi is because of the side horn switch. I have the Maxi and Bolt(with extender) I love the bolt since you don't have to have an extension to clear the button the Maxi. I will be honest the Bolt isn't or feel as durable as the Maxi but it does feel good in the hand and looks flush with the tank on there.

Currently using two 18350s at 7.4 volts with a 3.0 Dual coil tank.

The Maxi Rough Stack seems to be much more solid and the threads are machined much better, plus I haven't figured out how to get the guts out of the Bolt to replace the switch in the future since from what I've heard the horn switches are more prone to failure than the new RS switches, but the side button so I don't need extenders to use my tank make the Bolt my go-to mod for now.
