Vaped all day on 18mg tobacco from altsmoke in the new lavatube and im impressed. I also bought the 4ml dual coil tube tank and filled it as described on the volcano site and i was extremely disappointed. maybe because its 1.5 ohm and i like 4.5 with this juice. but mostly because a half fill lasted from 9 to 11 which was @ 15 total vapes. is this normal at 3.3 volts? i vaped another 30 or so hits on the cart after the tank was empty and was mildy better. perhaps i didnt "break it in" correctly? after that i popped the 3.3 atty on it and had glorious 4.5 v vapes the rest of the day. by the way,out of the box the battery is still kicking. :)

Unless it is the LT 1.5 that has a higher amp rating, you are not going to get much out of a dual coil. The original LT has a 2.5 amp limit and the 1.5 I believe was upped to 3.5. The LT reads the 1.5 ohms as is and you wouldn't be able to go above 3.75 volts and the dual coil doesn't shine until 4.5-5 volts. I might be off with that, however, so please don't quote me.

Everything that i have read/watched (Pbusardo & grimmgreen esp) have said that using dual coil on the Lavatube doesnt produce a very solid vape. I could be mistaken but i think it has something to do with the way the lavatube regulates the voltage because of the two coils.
wow thats funny, i just finished watching the grimmgreen video on that and it does sound like thats the problem. now to figure out what single coil carto i can get to work with this tube. probably s.o.l.

When you use LR at higher voltage (high amps) the LT automatically drops the voltage to a safe level but displays the voltage you set.

The ProVari, in the same situation, will display an error code.

Newer versions of the LT (1.5, 2.0) have higher amp limits, I believe 3.5 and 4.0 vice the 2.5 amp limit.

Someone correct me if this is not accurate.

Regardless, I believe that is what is happening. You should try higher resistance or lower voltage, or both.

Relax! Enjoy!

I'd really like a LT if the 2.0 has a higher tolerance for amps, right now I don't have one for the very reason that it won't vape my dually tanks! So if they have a higher cut off now I would be super happy! Steve k just did a review on the new pro vari and was stoked because he had 4.9 volts on his dual tank! Guess it is a natural evolution for both devices to keep up with our habits. Does anyone know where to get the new version of the LT SO I can throw my dual coil tanks on it?

i would assume mine is the newest version as i just recieved it from volcano, so if one does exist it hasnt been released yet.

Well If you can get dual coils to vape without a voltage drop, then I will buy the new LT because I dint want to pay the money for a pro vari at this point!

I love the lavatube with SR cartomizers, but I am worried the end caps will break if dropped to hard, plastic looks kind of flimsy....

The bottom cap is solid. The top cap is a little wiggly on mine and popped off after a drop, but popped back completely secure with ease. It is only held together be an adhesive it seems (the top cap anyway.)

hmmm....those would be too short to pop a hole and throw a tube tank on it right?

Yes the standard sized ones will be too short for most tanks. The SR single coil cartos also come in XL which will fit into a tank and work great. That is what is sitting on top of my LT right now. You can get the SR pre punched cartos at smoktek as well as the stainless steel XL which you could punch yourself. Crystal Clear Vaping also has the SR Boge XL cartos which you could also punch, just make sure to get stainless steel (SS.) CCV has great deals on cartos and also have free shipping!

Yeah, LR and duel coil don't work out so well with the LT. The device automatically bumps you down to like....idk 3.7? I think it's supposed to be a safety issue. But fret not! You can easily get a 3.0 single coil carto insert to put in your TT. They should get you to 4.5 where you like to be.

I'm not sure if that's normal at low voltage. From personal experience (grated I don't use TTs), the higher I pump up the voltage, the more juice I go through in any delivery system.
