This puppy should be out this week. I think I'll grab one just because I wan volcano to succeed.

While I applaud your spirit, I just can't get with that kind of blind brand loyalty, myself. Too many products rushed to market no matter what industry you're talking about nowadays.

Blind loyalty is warranted. They were part of getting me off the stinkies.

eleaf got me off the stinkies, but you don't hear me singing the praises of their faulty fire buttons. Blind loyalty is never wise, especially in this game. Try that with a battery vendor and you might end up missing fingers before long.

Having a bit more confidence in some makers over others is understandable but it's something I long ago stopped doing doesn't matter what product made by what company they all screw up. Watched the vaper chronicles review of the lavabox and although there were a couple of things not good overall my dna200 choice is now between the lavabox and the hotcig, deciding factor will be getting spare battery's as I couldn't find fullymax in the UK but only just getting caught up on lipos so might be missing a store.

Lavabox arrived today. Feels good in hand. Putting it through its paces.

Only issue is that where my VS 200 is read on MAC Air with VirtualBox the Lavabox (using three different USB cables) is not. Had to use my Win XP box.

Settings set either through Win XP eScribe (Ni200) or imported (NiFe52, SS 430, Titanium) such that the two devices appear to be identical.

Just received mine today, and my first impression left me a little disappointed. While the feel in the hand is great, there is a ton of battery rattle for me. When I first picked it up, I felt the battery bounce around inside, which doesn't make me feel confident in the quality. Is anyone else experiencing this?

The battery rattle is my biggest concern, but as mentioned above the screen is a little dim too. While it's not a problem, the bigger issue is the glare caused by the cover they used. If light hits the cover it becomes unreadable, not to mention it's also a finger print magnet. Anyways I'll contact Volcano E-cig support and see what they say, but other than those few issues it seems like a great mod.

I received mine yesterday, my screen is a tad crooked and the display is dim compared to the Hotcig and Hcigar. Not sure if it's the cover or if I have a bad screen. Overall my first impression leaves me a touch disappointed. It does however feel great in my hand and is working fine.

Have you guys checked the screen brightness settings in escribe to see if they have been set below 100%?

Appears the screen cover on the LB is 'smoked' so that has to dim it a bit, but without a cover and set to 100% brightness the screen is extremely bright, like almost flashlight level.

Right.

I have no complaint about the screen brightness. My complaint is that I am forced to my wonky/cranky Win XP box instead of my very fluid MAC running Win 10 under VirtualBox.

Saw a report/proposal that the redraws in Device Monitor was "fixed". Looking forward to that...

The screen brightness is fine, my main worry is just the glare and finger prints that the cover over the screen brings.

@jazzvaper Do you have any battery rattle from your LavaBox? Just wondering if it's an issue only I'm having.

Did not notice any rattle but will double-check when back home...

Mine is set to 100% for 6 seconds and then 63% which I changed to go off in 30 seconds. I've made that change for all my DNA200 mods. I like how bright the Hcigar and Hotcig are in comparison. Must be my 53 year old eyes talking. I was actually thinking, 25 years ago, I wouldn't have cared. I like the feel and the way it works. Just not thrilled with the smoked screen.

Cheers,
Steve

No battery rattle in mine, feels solid and nothing moves around. Might want to email volcanoecigs.

Yeah already emailed their support and they are starting the warranty exchange process with me. Oh well, hopefully this process goes smoothly. Little disappointing that I have to exchange it out.
