Here's another hidden feature of the Lavatube that I came across:

I tested it out and it does work. So, now we know that the LT also gives you the voltage under load. :)

Not sure if others around here are aware of this feature or not.

For me it just shows the voltage I had the LT set at. When it is in this state you can also change the voltage while under load at that point and let the screen go blank, when you press + to check the set voltage again it will be set at the setting you just changed it to while checking the 'under load' voltage.

Read the whole thread, a lot of people are calling "bull" on this - I don't know if it's version dependent, or perhaps simply flawed but as myself and others have reported the voltage under load readout was completely inaccurate (3.0ohm atty at 4V/5V/6V reading 3.5V under load) - then again some have reported it being fairly accurate. Luck of the draw perhaps (?)

If you vape at 3.8-4.3v then it will mostly show correct when you have a full battery...

if however you vape at 5v, it won't show right...

this is because the multi click is to show voltage remaining.

what they are saying is that if you do the 5-7 click (this seems to be different everywhere i look, mine is usually 7 clicks to show remaining battery) you get the remaining battery life, then you fire the atty (or whatever you are using) and while firing hit the power button AGAIN once it will read the voltage under load.....this is how i am understanding it anyways.....like i said though it only ever shows 3.5 when i do this. This is when i have the voltage up to 6.0 (just for testing purposes) the remaining battery life is 3.9...

I'm not sure if this is version dependent or not. Perhaps it is. I just picked up my LT about 2 weeks ago, so would probably be the latest release. What I do know is that it works.. I get multiple readings from different configurations. I would think if you set it at a level below what it can handle as max (voltage and atty/carto dependant), it would show you the same level you have set at.

Where it shows different numbers would happen if you set it too high, and it resets it internally to a lower max voltage. The dual coil is a perfect example. Here is the reading I got on it when I just tested it on a DC:

Battery life (7 clicks): 3.7v
Voltage I have set at: 4v
Voltage under load (7 clicks + fire + 1 click): 3.5v

Strange. I don't think it's giving me a proper reading.

Using a 2.6ohm Vision Extreme I get:

At 4.5V: 3.5V
At 5V: 3.3V
At 6V: 3.3V

Switched to a 2.0ohm DCT.

At 4V: 3.5V
At 4.5V: 3.4V
At 5V: 3.4V

I don't think this is under-load voltage it's giving. I can't think of what it might be, but it's not that. It might be how far the battery is dropping under load (my battery reads 4V) -- which is not an indication of how much power it's putting out under load because it doesn't take the boost circuit into account.

Props for the discover. My device shows 3.5 "under load" from 4-6 volts set normal & when I set it to 3.2 normal volts it read 4.6 "under load"
All on a standard resistance carto so it's no voltage under load for sure. Not to mention the carto cooks at 6 but barely fired at 3.2. It's impossible for voltage to be higher at 3.2 even if I had a low resistance carto. It is something you've found though, so props. I'm sure it will be resolved soon.

That's odd that the LT population is split between those for whom it works and those for whom it doesn't..

Dusty do you have one of those atomizer voltage readers by any chance? I'd love to know if it gives the same reading.

I do, but I've been told that the Dual Coils do not give you a "correct" reading with it. I'll have to test it out with some other atty later tonight. Got the kidlet on my hands now. Stay tuned!

YEah, I just tested with a 1.9ohm bridgeless atty, and I'm more convinced now that this is a reading of the battery voltage under load, not the voltage it's actually putting out under load.

My readings for the 1.9ohm atty:

3.0V: 3.7V
3.5V: 3.5V
4.0V: 3.4V
4.5V: 3.4V
5.0V: 3.4V

Now with a HV 4.2ohm atty:

3.0V: 3.9V
3.5V: 3.8V
4.0V: 3.8V
4.5V: 3.7V
5.0V: 3.7V
6.0V: 3.6V

So the readings are dropping the higher the voltage goes. Definitely looks like "battery voltage under load" to me.
