So sorry your cover thingie broke! I tell you, I had to WRASTLE the battery cover off back first time, but now it slips open and closed rather easily. Only thing I'm having an issue with is getting batteries in it without bending down the negative pole 'springs'. Worried if I bend them down too much, they'll break. So yeah, its not a unit that's gonna last forever, but I love it now, and would be amazed if I didn't get a year or so out of it. Would be nice if they adjusted how the batts go in the unit... maybe a bottom that slips off and on instead of a back would be better. But for $30, ridiculous good deal.

I gave up forceing the 18350 bats into the v8, just a matter of time before something gave under the force required. I now use 16340 batteries, a little less bat life but a heck of a lot less hassle.

Thanks huge, Errol! Yup, that's what I was thinking, too... 16340s, huh? Does AW make one, or what do you recommend, maker and chemistry wise? Ooh, found the AW imrs here, unless anyone else has seen a better price? Under $7 ea. http://www.lighthound.com/AW-IMR163...LiMN-Rechargeable-Lithium-Battery_p_2626.html

And The Hill Giant.... +1 on the Apollo thing. Apollo Ecigs | Apollo Electronic cigarettes | Electronic cigarettes, and they're 30% off now. Also strongly suggest AW IMR 18350s to go with it (RTD vapor for cheapest price, $7.60/ea, also at DiscountVapers - Your source for savings on electronic cigarettes and accessories, Go-go eGo, vGo) and the Xtar WP2 II charger, intelligent function (310 vapers cheapest price, $15, or discountvapers carries it). You'll also need two extra 'spacers' for the wp2 II if you want to charge 2 18350s at once. BUT killer charger, and will charge any mod battery under 70mm long. Comparable to the $48 pila. All that is assuming you don't have batts and chargers, of course, but good for you for aiming for quality 'accessories' rather than kit stuff. ;) Oh, you know, 30% off might not be on the single tubes, you might need to get the kit for that, but I'd double check with their 'ask online' system. You might find that whole kit is cheaper than the tube itself, in which case, you get an atty, stainless drip tip, case, etc. And cheap batt and charger always come in handy for apocalypse supply. Here's tube alone since they're a pain in the tail to find on site. I'd HIGHLY suggest the chrome mini if they're available, only $10 more. Really a nice hefty high end seeming unit. Just checked and they ARE avail in chrome mini! Yay!
Single Apollo VTube

And I'd be willing to bet you'll like it WAY better than the twist. Twist is nice, certainly for the size, but the vtube is much more precise, and in the chrome or stainless is really a high end seeming device. Plus can't beat that warranty. Definitely worth the chrome for an extra $10 all day long. I'd pay an extra $30 for the metal over powercoated body, myself.

This is how I use my nova on the LT.

Yup, you were the first person who told me about it! lol I thought it was you, but didn't want to mention it in case I was wrong. Then my buddy mentioned same problem next day. Weird...still don't know why it works, but glad it does!

Oh, also, Errol and Chris, I got my carto care packages today!!! Thank both of you so so much! Gonna give em a whirl after a bit, and can't thank you enough! Really excited to try a couple new exciting things!

Oh, and Errol, what's that one that looks like a cone? That one looks super snazzy! I need to look up 'care and feeding' on all of these guys, since those things arent self explanatory to me, then I'll be ready to rock and roll! Can't wait to try the ones you modded, too! They're so cute and little! <3

Thanks for the advice everyone. I ended up getting the stainless one! Ordered the batteries and chargers you recommended as well.

One more question. I use vivi novas after trying every liquid delivery method out there other than an atty-tank(LOVE them by the way). I've never had any issue with them leaking (knock on wood), but do you guys think I should get a drip shield? How drip/condensation proof is the VTube?

I have the stainless and it's really nice. You'll like it. If you use the vivi on it you'll need either a 510-510 extender or a http://www.smoktek.com/eGo-DCT-Cone-for-35ml-SmokTank--Type-D_p_196.html .

Yeah for some reason the Vivi doesn't get good airflow, so you need to use one of the adapters Tl suggested. Personally I'd use the 3.5ml DCT cone because you can't see it. The 510-510 makes it sit up a bit and looks kind of strange, but you will need that adapter too for Stardusts if you use them. As far as drip proof, the Vtube has a drip well, and I've overflowed a couple of times with no issues, other than having to clean out the well.

Oostatik, no you don't have to let them steep. I usually don't, I just shake them up real good and go for it. There are many methods of steeping you can do some research, but the most common is to just let it sit for a few days, the other common steeping method is to let it sit for a few days with the top off. I have noticed several bottles that I own have gotten better after sitting for a few days, and if you find a flavor that is weak or just yucky, then try steeping.

As to steeping... some juices REALLY want steeping... others, not so much. One of the reasons I love TVR is because so few of the liquids really require steeping. BTW, steeping is just letting the liquids sit in unopened bottle for a few days. ;) Easy peasy. lol Although, never had this with TVR, but some cheaper quality juices use alcohol in the flavoring. So if you ever get a bottle with a weird 'floral' flavor, best thing is to set the bottle up somewhere inaccessible, and leave the bottle open a few days to let the alcohol evaporate. No biggie, but didn't want anyone to run into that and think the liquids were unvapable. I get it a lot with DIY flavors. Back to TVR... a liquid that I really like better after a few days is English Toffee. The Alice in Vapeland flavors are very tasty and subtle. They don't hit you over the head with flavor. The Cupcake City is one of my alltime fave bakery liquids... just a very subtle lovely all day vapable flavor, same with Black and White Cookie. I find them both tasty right out of the bottle, but the mgmt at AiV recommends steeping for best flavor. Some liquids really 'morph' tremendously over time, some not so much. If you ever REALLY dislike a liquid, just let it sit around and try it again at random intervals. I have a few I've REALLY hated, but tried em again a month or two later, and they're amazingly tasty. So that's the lowdown on steeping. Not huge for me, but some people swear by it, and a few of my very faves do get MUCH better after a 3-5 days steep. That's another reason why I try to let samples sit before I try em. With a big bottle, not such an issue, because you'll still be vaping it days later. But with a sample, very easy to vape it all up in a day or two, and then you've got no idea if it improves much with steeping. ;)

And yeah, everyone seems to agree the 3.5ml tank cone is the way to go to make the vivi nova work and look the most natural on a chrome/stainless tube. 510 to 510 adapters will work, though, for sure.

Yay for your new stainless! Hope you love it. I ADORE mine. If all you've ever used is an ego twist, you won't believe how 'sturdy' and substantial the tube is. Just seems like it'll go forever, and I enjoy it every time I pick it up.

BTW, tlmoody, what did you think of those resurrectors? Wanted to make sure you got em...I just sent them in an envelope, and most of the time they show up no problem, but one time envelope showed up ripped, and cartos were gone, so wanted to check on ya.

Oh, and Hill Giant... you can get really nice inexpensive drip shields at Welcome to Hoosier Vapes - The Best E-cigs, Juices, and accesories. Two other great places for em are Empire and nhaler. Those are a little pricier, but a little higher end, also. Unless you really do a lot of dripping, wouldn't say one was necessary, and don't think there's a way to use one with the nova, just cause they're long and tall to go over an atty or carto. But if you're concerned about leaking on your new tube, you can always get a 'sealed' shorty 510 to 510 connector (I know madvapes has em, and a bunch of other places do as well). That way if anything leaks, it'll leak into the cup, and can't leak into your tube. With the nova, it'll raise it a bit, but doesn't look horrible.

As for me, here's how I clean the tube...I just regularly tear off a strip of paper toweling, and fold it up a few times till I have about a 1/4 wide long strip. Then I slip that into the two 'channels' on the tube, one around the outer channel, and one around the center pin. Then i just twist it around to sop up all the juice in that channel, so it doesn't soak into the pv. I keep folding to 'fresh' areas of the towel till no more juice comes up. I also have heard of people who take a toothpick and wrap end in cotton to get down the 'holes'. But however you do it, you definitely want to regularly clean those channels often (every day or two) so any juice that does get down there is cleaned out before it can seep into pv and degrade the 'seal' that protects the components inside the pv.

Oh my gosh, Rachel, I'm so sorry I forgot to let you know they came. They are great and I plan to order some now. I'm sorry I forgot. Thanks a ton for sending them to me. I really appreciate it.

Oh whew! lol I tape em in now, so they don't fall out, but still always worry they didn't show up. ;) So glad you liked em! Sizes are a question, but I loved the regular 'xl mega' size for ages, and now love the 'mini/super shorty' (those tiny ones can only be had at smoktek and madvapes and litecigusa now, but they'll soon be available at surevapes in their 'deals' section). But for right now, best deals are on the juniors (size of regular 510 carto, like a boge) or xl mega (size of dual coil carto) 15 for $21 at crystalclearvaping, or xl mega 25 for $32 at surevapes. But of course you can pick up a 5 pack all over the place. ;)

Oh, and the jumbos/xxl are cool (in deal at ccv, or by the single at smoktek) but they have a much 'airier' vape than the other varieties. I tend to not like them quite as much, but other people swear by em. AND they hold like 2.5ml of juice in a carto, rather than a tank.

Apollo sells the Vtube, which is the same as an LT 1.5 or Lambo and they have a 30% off code running currently. They also have the only stainless steel version made, (which was a limited edition run of 1000). They also warranty for 1 year, which is longer than any vendor that I am aware of. Amazing customer service too. You can order the unit, batts, and charger by kit or by piece.

I'm pretty sure the Apollo is a V1 2.5 amp PV. The V1.5 from a different manufacturer is a 3 amp PV.

Apollo's Vtube is what most are calling the 1.5 (also the Lambo). The body style is different from the V1, including the eGo threading, center pin, metal end caps etc... but guts are the same (2.5 amp switch, no ohm meter, small lcd). Upgraded switch is another beast altogether.

I should clarify, that I am referring to the chrome and ss versions. The black, red and whatever other color(s) are V1.

I'm using some Ultra Fire batteries I bought for my Wow aka Woo, one of the nicest little PVs I have along with the twist for under 5v vaping. But back to the batteries, they probably don't last as long between charges as the name brands but they do work just fine.

Pleased to hear all your goodies arrived in good shape.

The "super snazzy" unit is the Echo DC Carto with a 901 thread. It is filled the same as any other carto. Forget how much it holds but I think in the range of 2.5 to 3ml. Fill it with a syringe slowly and let it sit and absorb for a few minutes then top it off with a dropper bottle. Pretty much the same as you have been doing with your other cartos. :) I don't like mine to get much below half full as it can leave the upper coil exposed, inviting a burned taste.

I'm sure you are right, I'm not up to speed on the various Genuine Lavatubes except that they are all 2.5amp. Would love to have the Lambo in a 3.5amp unit but doubt that will happen for a long time. :)

I lost interest in the new Lavatube when they announced it would only be 3amp. I would have thought they would at least match Provari V2 at 3.5 amps. Guess I'm stuck with the knockoffs available with 3.5 to 4amp circuitry.
