K, someone mentioned this tank (can't remember names for love or money, so sorry, whoever you were! lol) in the Apollo E2 tank thread, and thought you guys might like it. This is a CUTE tank, dual coil tank style, though in the size for a Boge or a Resurrector JR (or I'd imagine other standard 510 carto size). Thing I like about it is its polypro, so doesn't 'degrade and crack' with juices the way other polycarb tanks do, and its got a HANDY cute filling port, in your choice of colors, all for $8. Cute lil tank!

And if you mix and match driptips, you can get extra screws for port in extra colors for 30 cents... kinda fun. lol
would be killer for those of you who like your citrus and spicy vapes, but don't wanna spend $40-50 for a glass tank.

Just saw that! Thanks. I posted this in another LT thread I found also, but will ask here too. I lay the vtube down when I'm not using it cuz I'm afraid of knocking it over when I reach for it, and also figure it's better not to stand on end and block the vent hole. I either lay in the open case it came in, or on a suede bag I have. I've noticed several times when I picked it up, the tube itself was very warm to the touch, surprisingly so, and a few of those times that it was warm, I had even turned the unit off before I laid it down. Is this normal, or do I perhaps have a battery that is getting way too warm sometimes, even when the unit isn't on?
No, not at all normal, but I can't guess what the issue is, at all. Hoping one of the techie guys weigh in on this one. However, if you're using a 'kit' battery, first thing I'd do is try a new good quality battery. I'd get these, personally,

but the AW IMR at rtdvapor are fabulous, also. That may well resolve the problem, and if it doesn't, if the tube is the problem, then when you get it replaced (and if its firing badly, or warming up, Apollo will definitely replace it for you) then you'll have an amazing battery when you get a new one. I will say that would be the first time I'd heard of something like that with an lrider chrome or stainless tube, though. That doesn't mean it hasn't happened, though, of course. lol For the time being, I'll give you the same advice I gave the people with the weird non lrider tube issue that happened with the old ones ccv used to carry (their new v2 ones do NOT have this issue, so far) when they were smoking and doing odd power things... just take the battery out when you're not 'babysitting' your tube. And hopefully one of the tech guys has a better idea to isolate the problem. I will say, I've had a few of those kit batteries fail badly in a few different semi scary ways very very soon after purchase, so wouldn't surprise me at all if that were the case.

Thanks for the link to the battery. I will get one soon as I can, just not sure when that will be. But that's a very good idea to take the batt out at night. It doesn't do it all the time, but it's done it quite a few times. Really freaked me out the couple times I noticed it when the unit had been off. lol

Oh, and another option.. not sure if Apollo gives any kinda warranty on their kit batts, but they may well send you a new one if its determined that that is likely the issue, just cause you JUST got the thing. lol That might be an option. Still not an ideal battery, but bottom line is if yours is failing, a new one might operate as designed. So sorry, hon! What a bummer on your new baby!

Yeah I thought maybe they might if they think that's probably what it is. They seem to be amazing with customer service. Of course, since I won it rather than having bought it, I wasn't sure. Not a huge deal as long as the batt doesn't go totally off it's rocker on me. lol I am a tad leary of all these batteries, so am definitely glad for advice on where to get good ones out there. That is something I sure don't mind paying extra for if they're safer.
Yeah, I'm with you on that. And funny thing is, most vape shops who sell 18650s charge close to $10 for em anyway, so really, both the AW IMR and the 18650 IMR hybrid panny (higher mah than the AW IMR, and also only really HIGH mah batt that will fit in the tube) are both in the $9.50 range, so if anything, you might be paying $2 more than the cheapest of the cheap crummy 18650 you can find at very lowest priced vape shops, and about the same as you'd pay for a bad one most places. Oh, and orbtronic (where you get the panny) has free shipping, so if you add that in, definitely same or lower cost. I was thrilled when I realized you could get good batts for about same as bad ones, if you knew where to look. lol

Definitely worth a try to see, shame you are having some problems with your new toy.

Just tried their cake batter. So far, it tastes just like it smells. The scent is this kind of buttery sweet smell. It's good, but not great. This juice will definitely not be my all day vape.
Thought those colored thumb screws were a great idea and checked shipping and at $2 it seemed worthwhile to get a few until I noticed a $1 handling charge. Not for me.

I suggest you isolate the problem before doing anything else. Do you leave your tank or carto attached? If so remove the carto to see if the PV still warms up when placed on it's end and laying down.

That definately does NOT sound good. From what I understand, you won a Kit.? If that is true the first thing I would do is see if I could isolate the problem to ONE battery. Mark one battery with a Sharpie or some nail polish and then notice if this heating up thing is happening with both the marked battery and the un-marked one. If it is only one particular one you have it narrowed down and you can request a new battery. If it is happening with both batteries I would follow orachel's advice and get the Panasonic batteries and if it continues to happen with these you definately have a tube problem. I would NOT hesitate to ask for a replacement because this problem is connected to a safety issue. I would also follow the previous suggestions about not leaving a battery in your tube unattended. Thanks Dave. I did get a kit, but only one battery in it. The literature says it's a 2200 mah 18650 but the battery itself says it's a 1600 mah. I don't have any other batteries like this since this is my first vv.
Errol, what will taking the carto off do? I can do that if need be, but that would mean removing it every time I lay it down. I usually take 2-3 puffs, lay it down for a few minutes, grab it again for a few more puffs etc. So every few minutes I'd be taking the carto on and off. Since this has happened (getting warm) even when the unit was turned off while it was laid down, do you still think taking the carto off each time is necessary to isolate something? Again this doesn't happen all the time, just sometimes. I'm using a ce3 bottom coil if that matters at all. I'll do that if I need to, just want to understand what I'm looking for and if it still could be an issue even if the unit was off. Thanks!

K, its been a nuts weekend... had raining in a bathroom then had the whole ceiling fall in in there. lol One of the joys of renting a house. BUT since I know some of you are waiting, did a quick diy mix with the Cinn Danish Swirl in 100% VG at 10%... dead on, no steeping. Granted, its a lil different since my vg mix is WAAAAY thinner, but taste and everything seem to be dead on so far. I'll let you know if there's any changes with steeping or anything, but so far, this one is a winner. No hot water bath or anything, just measure, dump and mix.
