Thanks for the input folks. I still can't find out much other than problems with the 3 amp components and the cap flying off it dropped. Hopefully they have fixed the problems.

This is a quote from Andrew(CCV owner) on the official CrystalClearVaping info thread......
"trying to get all people purchased a v1.5 a version 2,,, the issue is very serious,,,tube left sitting on table just shorts out. tube and carto so hot can't touch it smoke starts rolling out from inside the tube, mine did it yesterday, i immediately pulled them from site,,,, now most work great but few is to many in my book."

Yikes. I'm using a 1.5. Am I understanding the problem correctly? It's a problem that happens only when you push the power button too many times when trying to turn it off?

No. Just a random short I guess. The quote was out of context. I'll edit my quote so no one else is confused. sorry

I'd get all the info I could and get my LT swapped out for a new version if I could. You certainly don't want something that produces smoke instead of vapor sitting around waiting to randomly fail.

I think the Lavatube is a good design for the price. Any product with offshore mass production can have production issues. It's the backup from the vendor and manufacturer that makes repeat purchases grow. This thread sounds like that is happening with the LT. Kudos to the vendor!

Began hearing about this problem as well. Looks like a real issue.

Mine has the glitch but we don't know as that had anything to do with the meltdown in fact it is probably a seperate issue being as the one in question was being vaped and was in the on position.
There have been many egos and other pv's that have had meltdowns but they have all been extremly rare and isolated cases. I hope this proves to be the same.
I will continue to use mine and keep a close eye on it until I hear more info regarding the problem.

The V1 and the 1.5 are made by two totally different companies and only look the same. Volcano sells the one made by L-rider and they don't make any 1.5's.

That's what I read on another forum was that the Chinese are copying the Chinese. About damn time too! The 1.5's the ones to avoid...or if you have one, at least remove the batteries if you aren't using it. I've read claims of them being possessed and coming on by themselves.
