If anyone knows where there is information regarding this, please point me in the general direction. I heard about it but can't seem to find out what happened. Something about the 3amp switch being bad? Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the input folks. I still can't find out much other than problems with the 3 amp components and the cap flying off it dropped. Hopefully they have fixed the problems.

Yikes. I'm using a 1.5. Am I understanding the problem correctly? It's a problem that happens only when you push the power button too many times when trying to turn it off?
I'd get all the info I could and get my LT swapped out for a new version if I could. You certainly don't want something that produces smoke instead of vapor sitting around waiting to randomly fail.
I think the Lavatube is a good design for the price. Any product with offshore mass production can have production issues. It's the backup from the vendor and manufacturer that makes repeat purchases grow. This thread sounds like that is happening with the LT. Kudos to the vendor!
I thought volcano was still selling V1 insides, just new body style, not sure though.
The V1 and the 1.5 are made by two totally different companies and only look the same. Volcano sells the one made by L-rider and they don't make any 1.5's.
