the Provari is a really good, solid device that does what it's advertised to do. While it may cost a bit more up front, it's worth it (IMO). Actually I'm puzzled as to why everyone says it's so expensive when it's about the cost of a month or two of cigarettes. Anyway, most all of us who have one are very happy and feel that it's worth the $. I do have and use other devices that are cheaper and one that was much more expensive and I love them all. While I'm definately a Provari fan.. I'm also a Reo fan, a vv madvapes box mod fan, a SGt Army tank fan, an eGo fan and a Foxy box mod fan LOL. Just too many great devices out there!

OK got it!:)

BTW, all these neg reviews about gotvapes is kinda freaking me out a bit. It's like someone opened hunting season them ! Reviews of Suppliers - Negative

Gotvapes specializes in bleeding edge stuff. If it's new and untried, they are the guys selling it. I'm not surprised that they get some bad reviews. So much of what they sell keeps going through revisions.

After you've watched for a while, it almost gets laughable. Some new mega/fluxo/CE/clearo thing will come out and there are hallelujahs. The future of vaping is here! I'm sure they do work and work consistently for some people but, within a few weeks you start seeing posts about cracking, leaking, not wicking, breaking easily, etc. Then there are the posts on how to mod it to work better. Then it either goes off the market or gets revised but, by then the next new one is out and it's hallelujah all over again. Eventually they will probably get it right. Until then, gotvapes is gong to get bad reviews.

Great assessment!

Yea.. I wouldn't worry about ordering from them as long as you are aware that new stuff can be buggy. I tend to wait for reviews and use stuff that is "tried and true" so to speak. Plus not everyone knows what they are doing and that negative review that they give just might be a user error instead of the vendor's fault.

I assume their physical hardware though (the mods themselves) are good to go though, right? Everyone swears by them, including you guys on here.:)

I wanted to know, is there anyway of knowing ahead of time if/when they will get the blue LED model in with the satin black model? I really really like that blue led, it is sharp as hell! But I won't wait forever either to buy it, I would end up getting the red led if I had to wait a crazy amount of time for the blue. Any ideas?

That is true, when I smoked at my heaviest, I was coughing up about 150-175 a month on smokes. So I see your point.

I'm thinking the blue led on the black will be available again May 31st.. but that may be the date of the black mini with the blue led. You can email Provape and get a date. The mini is the same electronics and specs as the full size.. just not as much batt life.

Great post donnah......I had to laugh at what I USED to spend.....I smoked 2 and 1/2 packs of analogs a day at $77.00 bucks a carton here in New Jersey......Thats roughly $577.00 bucks a month on cigs.......people need to put into perspective what they were paying before e-cigs......I, similar as you, have owned just about every mod out there and I'm still saving TONS of cash...Plus the health benefits.....The Provari ended the shopping spree for me...it just WORKED....Thanks for reminding people......

Unfortunately for me crystal vapers does not send to Europe.I have seen some offers for the first lava around 60 does it worth for a newcomer?

Sent from my MT11i using Tapatalk

I didn't care for th lava tube that I had but there are many that do. As a newcomer you might be one of the ones who love it. It all depends on what you're looking for in a device and your budget.

Been using kGo 1100 mAhs with E-Turbo LRs (Stardusts) and loving 'em. I'm about to get a Provari V2. Mainly because of this forum. Now that I'm aware of what Provaris can do and what they're for, I finally realize what I'm missing.

I imagine I'll primarily use the kGo (with either the E-Turbo or the Echo-E DC, which I also like) when I'm out, and the Provari at home.

Can't wait!

Personally, I would say Provari or Provari Mini with an extended warranty. You dont need anything else to measure the ohms, you dont have to worry about killing batteries from overdischarge, and its numerous safeties that are built in is a huge plus given how violent a lithium cell explosion can be.

I still don't get it, why get a mini? It's only like 3/4" smaller than the regular sized one, right? Does this really matter? I'm taking the plunge at the end of the month and just buying my satin black one, I'll be broke for a month but oh well.:vapor:

I just suggested it due to size...3/4 inch can feel like a lot at first. But IMO going with the full size is better. The 18350 battery is really outlasted by the 18500. Both are really outlasted by the 18650, which you can use on the full size Provari but not the Mini (with the end cap). I just got a satin black Provari and I really, really like it. It's size isn't too big. My favorite part about it though is that is leaves nothing to chance and that is what attracted me to it from the start. You know your battery power, you set the voltage, you know the ohms of your carto, and so you know the watts you are making. If something goes wrong, the unit has a good chance of knowing and preventing a catastrophic loss, and even has error codes to say "yo, this is the problem". I also like how the vent it as the bottom, which means if an explosion were to occur, then your fingers won't be lost. When I was a kid and lithium ion batteries were new to laptops, me and a few friends decided to play around with one to see how powerful they were when we overcharged one...The explosion was tremendous. But I think you will like it. It's a cool little toy.

Well I just borrowed 200 bucks from my Gramps today so I could buy it ahead of pay day!:) I am super excited! But you kinda scared me there about the battery/explosion thing lol. Aren't these units smart enough to downpower the voltage if you put a atty/carto/etc on it that is either to low or to high for the unit (like the Lavatube does?) I would assume so, this thing is like twice it's price if not more.

So I'm all set for the 31ST, black/regular size/BLUE LED's! Let the countown begin!

As a heads up, I just found out that the Provari will come in a few GREEN LEDs on the 31st in a very limited run.
