Yep....I am already looking for a good mod. I am trying to be stealthy because Ann is concerned that I am becoming to obsessed with upgrades, accessories, mods and juices! I keep telling her "Baby, we are saving money by not smoking stinkies!" She is so much smarter than me and this won't be successful much longer!

Anyway, now you see why this purchase has to be right on. I am looking for the best bang for a teacher's salary buck. I keep coming back to the LavaTube V3 Lambo. Anyone have any experience with this unit? I have found a deal at The Vape Shoppe for $89.00. It comes with 2 batteries, a charger, 1 Dual Coil Tube tank Atomizer 6ml, a Kanger Evod tank and the LavaTube unit.

Any advice? I have read and watched some reviews (which seemed positive) but we have gotten such good advice from this forum...I had to submit this post. As usual...thanks in advance for your advice!

I honestly can't say I've had any experience with a v3. But my setup is a lambo v4 and I absolutely love it! If you can, I'd suggest searching for a v4 as I only paid £50 (which I believe is approx $75) for a kit which included the device, a CE5 tank, 2 18350 batteries, a charger, carry case and bottle of liquid.

Depending on what tank you use, you may need a 510/ego adapter to use as an extension to allow a better air flow (my vivi nova doesn't work without this adapter) and I use a plinth to hide any external threads.

What features are you looking for? There are alot of good mods available in different shapes and sizes at really good prices. I think important features are VV/VW, voltage check, resistance check, simple menu system, threading, and finish. With a budget of $90, you have alot of wiggle room for a good setup.

Cheapest mod with all the features you're looking for would most definitely be a Vamo. You can get one for less than $30. Fasttech does have plenty of kit options for around $50. If that's the route you choose to go then I'd recommend piecing together your own kit. You'll still keep the total around the same price if not less. The Vamo is really easy to use and the menu system is extremely simple. It may not be the prettiest mod but its VV/VW, can check resistance, and show battery voltage. It comes in 3 finishes. The black chrome is the worst of the 3 because it'll show signs of wear within a few weeks. The chrome is ok but will show fingerprints and the stainless will not. The chrome is the cheapest. The Vamo has both 510 and ego threading so it'll fit almost anything on top except for maybe a T3 because of the wide base. My Vamo has taken some SERIOUS abuse and still works great. It's got some pretty bad scratches and scrapes but that's only cosmetic. I've dropped it in a puddle and it still worked after I let it dry. The only thing that you have to be careful with us tightening down your topper too tight and pushing the center pin in. For a few bucks more, the iTaste SVD is also an option. It does everything the Vamo does and it's built a but better. There is a very good kit that includes almost everything you need for about $60. The mod only is $37. If you need links I'll gladly point you in the right direction.

You're very welcome! Both are great to get you going but you'll see that there are so many options out there. Batteries are pretty important. Be aware if battery safety and battery quality. Never leave batteries charging in a hot car or unattended at home while you sleep. Whichever mod you choose, consider getting both 18350 and 18650 batteries so you can utilize both configurations for mod size. Keep in mind the more "mah" will mean the more battery life you'll have. Example; 18350 900mah battery will last about 1/2 to 3/4 of a day. And 18650 2000mah will last a full day and possibly into the next. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Ok...took your advice...went with the Vamo. I actually ordered the V3, a NiteCore12 charger and 2-18650 (2200 mAh batts) for $58.00 with free shipping from FastTech. I am moving my sleeping bag out to the dog house now. Thanks for your advice!

Lol!! Hope you enjoy the mod. Be prepared for the 10-14 day ship time from FT. Not the greatest ship time but certainly not the worst and definitely worth the wait for the prices they offer. Check out the FT thread here. I'm sure you'll be able to find some other cool stuff. Don't forget the 18350's at some point down the line. The Vamo is quite a big mod in its 18650 configuration. As for the dog house, you just have to spin the story right so it looks like and investment into your long and healthy married life. What's $56 in comparison to the years you're adding to your life by not smoking? If that doesn't work then some flowers might. :):):)

The vamo is a real nice unit for the money. You should be happy with it. Look up the instructions...there is 2 modes...mean mode and rms mode.

Get familiar with the unit in rms mode first and mess around with mean mode later. Mean mode, if your not familiar with the unit, it's really easy to burn the juice and get some nasty vapes.
