Keep an eye on the soon to be released http://www.vaporbeast.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=vario&Submit=Search

Please all keep this thread going. Want to get past the starter kit stage and need to make a best choice. Thought about the 1300 mAH battery but after reading here, should probably bypass the intermediate and go right to what will last, is consistent and customizable. Want a Provari mini but price is a considedration :(. Is the LTv2 much improved? Who makes the VTube?

Thank you,

The vape shop in my area is horrible and overpriced.. Even if I wouldnt buy from them.. They still only carry ego style devices. =/

Well this whole thread has been a mix and match of reviews haha. Still not sure what I want to go with. I cannot tell any different between the Lavatube style devices. The Apollo is the cheapest, but as far as I can tell, they never have any stock. Vari-Tube would be the next in line... The VMax is dual bat which I want to avoid... Vario isnt out yet and even if it did just come out, I would still have to wait for reviews.

Look for the PBsardo comparison of the two Lavatube styles. The current consensus is that the Young June is the current favorite. The reason the Apollo is out of stock is that they are waiting for a new version. There is currently no ETA on the arrival and I don't think they are going to have a chrome model initially. I did buy one of the models with the red button (not the Young June) and I didn't like it. It has a spring set center pin in the 510 connector that is not flat like in most other PVs. This allowed too much air for my taste. Now if you like a very airy draw then you might like it. Also the wattage was slightly increased on the Young June 2.0 model.

I am currently using the Lavatube... It gives me what I need but I have to agree that sometimes it does not put out what it says. The button sucks and I have to press very hard for it to work... But volcanoecigs is coming out with the new lavatube 2.0 which should "fix" the problems we are seeing with the old one... I'm thinking about purchasing one when it comes out, but after talking to everyone about different variable voltage mods, the ProVari is the best... Everyone is telling me to just save my money and get one, stop wasting my time with knockoffs and get one and I'll be glad I did... And for how many people tell me this, I believe that I should listen and start saving... Maybe you should do the same as well...

Ive known the Provari is the best. Its made well and has great reviews.. but even if I could afford to save up that much money.. Im not wanting to spent upwards of $200 on a mod when I just had a child. $200 is crazy cash to be spending on a mod, regardless of how well it works. At least at this point in my life. Maybe some years down the road I can afford to do something of the sort, but not now. =/

Skoad, if you are willing to go a slightly different direction, you might try the new eGo VV battery. Unlike the Twist, it has a display so you can see your voltage setting, and it adjusts in 0.1volt increments. It goes all the way up to 6 volts unlike the Twist. And you can use it as a pass-through so you can vape while you charge.

It looks just like the new KGO VV and the specs are the same. Both of them are much smaller than the Lavatube, VTube, VMax, etc.

Apollo sells it and they are having a 10% off sale for Labor Day, which would put the price at about $22.50. Use the code "laborday". That's as cheap as the 650mah Twist.

Apollo eGo-VV Battery

Apollo also has the VTube Mini in stock in stainless steel at 30% off. I've got the regular size in stainless and it is very well built - much better than the black/red/etc.

Well, my other two posts have disapeared into the ether. I first thought about skipping the intermediate stage and going right for the Provari. But had a talk with my wallet and we both decided to order the brother 1300 mHA kit from Avid Vapor. Just tired of dime-store e-cig kits that don't last the day and maybe this will extend my decision making knowledge. Hope I made a good decision since I could not have gotten any input on those now gone comments. Nice if the Vario is all they claim it to be at a better price.
Any comments on my choice welcome.

Thanks,

The Provari is expensive when just comparing price point to price point. I decided it was worth it though and here is why. VMAX or L-Tube kit in chrome with batteries, charger etc will run you 75-125. Provari with 2 batts and charger will run you about 195 if you buy the batteries and charger from a cheaper supplier than Provape. So call it twice the price. A lot right? It is but ask yourself, can I afford to spend a hundred bucks on kit and have it fry in 2 months and then afford to replace it again?

I did tons of research on lavatubes and I like them! Matter of fact, I just ordered a new lambo this morning to use as a secondary device and my wife has a a young june version called the satrfire. Thing is for every two people that loved their l-tube or Vmax, there was one who has it fry on them in a matter of days and weeks. I decided I would rather pony up the extra one time than go through replacing it a month later with another inferior device because that would be all I could scrape the money together for. The odds were just not good enough to bet on the L-tube/vmax as my primary vv device. Just something to consider.

A new BMW is unarguably better built and has higher quality components than a KIA. It also costs $20-40K more. The Provari is the best you can get for $100 bucks more. For once I could afford to have the best.

Uggh, I really came off like a Provari fanbois there. Sorry I about that. I really am. I am just a believer in buying the best quality you can when it is something you will be using for a long time and using frequently because cheaper options usually wind up costing just as much or more over the long haul. There that was a lot shorter and simpler LoL.
