just placed my order for my lavatube, should have it by monday i hope with the 2 day shipping option.

if anyone has used one before let me know what a good volt is to start at. new to the whole V.V. thing.

I use mine with a 3.0 carto/tank at 4.2v-4.5v....and sometimes take it to 5v depending on which juice I'm vaping. I really like the Lava tube. It's a great, intro to the world of vv. If you ordered from Volcano, they ship FAST! I had mine in 2 days all the way from Hawaii.

I gotta multi-pack of cartos/attys & have NO CLUE wtf they're ratings are & what they are!
All I know is that drippings is the only way I get true flavour...carts seem to rob juices of they're hit
One tank I got...flavour was there BUT...unit doesn't seem to work well anymore..clogged maybe - didn't even use it for a day(100%vg)
I need to figure it out soon though

Dave Nailed it.. 3.0 Ohm carty @ 5.2 for me with this weeks flavor of the day...... 70/30 mix....Clouds of fame.....and great TH.

2 ohm cartos - 3.4 to 4.0 volts
2.5 ohm - up to 4.5v and maybe 5v.
3.0 ohm - up to 6v.

Adjust the voltage starting at the low end (around 3.5v) and slowly increase it until flavor suffers. You'll get an idea about the ranges you need to be in.

Its a VV for a reason start low and work your way up until you find something that you like, Doesnt matter what every one else likes. I have been useing 2.6-2.8 cartos and get shtty tast around 4volt so I have been vapeing around 3.7. High VG seems ok around 4.0.

I've had the same experience using Ce2's 2.6-2.8 @ 3.7-3.9v if 100VG up to 4.1 or 4.2 . if 2.8-3.0 @ can push it 4.2 - 4.4 tops. gonna try the dual coil CE2s coming in today from Lecig 1.5 ohms so I can probably push a little higher with 4 wicks better wicking

I just ordered a lavatube too and have the same question. I have a lot of LR cartos and atty's. Do I need to order some SR cartos too. Also being that not all the cartos say LR on them is there anyway to tell the LR from SR once you get them mixed up? Can it break if say you accidently put a LR on at too high of a voltage? My life is way to complicated already. Keeping everything organized and seperate may be an issue for me.

The only way to tell if they aren't marked is to measure them with a ohm meter.

If you've already got LR then no reason not to use them, you'll just have to keep the voltage low so you don't exceed the 2.5 amp limit. If you do go over it won't hurt anything, the regulator will automatically push the voltage back to within it's limits, the only thing you may notice is that it'll be a weaker vape than you have it set for if you exceed the limit. As long as you stay in the 4v ish range or below with LR you should be ok.

I wouldn't recommend buying LR for it because you do restrict your voltage range but if you've already got em, vape em.

That is why the VV is good you can vape any carto or atty with it. I usually vape 4.2 and it holds that voltage troughout the vape so it is always like having a fresh battery. Another good thing about the L-Rider is the voltage is very easy to change and it has a nice led to see your voltage and the charge left on the battery. Just one click up or down to change it .1 v and five clicks to check your charge. My first vari i had you needed a voltmeter and a screwdriver to adjust the voltage and it was a pain. I paid over 100.00 for it too but sold it real quick. The L-Rider is light years better.:2cool:
