I own two lavatubes....I use mine as my daily device and its not built for that IMO. Ive noticed with regular sized cartos the connection becomes a little vulnerable and mine has pulled out of the top cap. I've since been using the Shorty cartos or my tanks. This way there's not so much room for error. This is my 1st vv device and it performs great but the build quality is not so hot

thanks edonehb, so would you recommend it?

I own a version 1 of the lavatube . It does exactly what it says its gonna do. However I cant say I have tried 1.5ohm dual coil cartos on it whereas the more exp users say that in this scenario, the 2.5 amp limit on the LT holds it back from delivering the power needed.

I vape single coil 3.0 ohm carts and atties on the LT at around 5 - 5.5 v and it does great. If I were going to buy another right now, Id go to CCV and get the newest version. This version has a higher amp limit of 3.2 amps , and also has a built in ohm / resistance check to tell you what the ohm rating is on your carto or atty..... pretty handy I'd say.

Ya cant beat it for the price... Crystal Clear Vaping

I also have the version 1. I haven't had the problems I've heard about from others. I don't care that much about the amp limit, but the ver. 1.5 has improved a lot of things, including all the stuff that the version 1 was being criticized for. The electronics are totally new. The voltage drop as the battery drained is the biggie and that's been fixed. Build quality is better and the amp limit is 3.2 so you can use LR and dual coil cartos with no problem. The CCV deal is outstanding. If I had the spare cash, I'd be on it yesterday.

Oh, I know....

Get a Provari.
Anything but a Provari is a waste of money.
You're going to end up with a Provari anyway.
Don't waste your time and money with junk. Get a Provari
Wish I'd bought a Provari right from the start.
A Provari will wash your car for you.

O.K., just thought I'd get that out of the way.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

NICE .... hahahha

ya know sailor , I was gonna go there and make the ever popular comment " Why spend $ 200 on the " P " word when you can spend $ 70 and now get the same features " ( minus having to click 40 times to get the voltage up or down or find the resistance ) But I had a feeling it would start up the Provari vs LT debate.

4.....3....2.....1....

Ah, I feel the need to point out that MDO1265 was mistaken in their statement that the one at CCV is the newest version..the newest version has a 4.0 amp limit and metal end caps, and I'm vaping on it right now ;). I got it at VaporBeast, but they are currently out of stock. You can find it (just the body) here: V1.5-t Tube Only (4 Amp Circuit).

And ya know what... I heard about the one on vapor beast and went and checked it out and didnt see anything about the 4.0 amp limit. I was diggin the sloped head vs the look of the 1st version. Guess I'll go back and read again.

With that said.... and im assuming you had / have the 1st gen LT.... Does it hit better using dual coil 1.5 ohm cartos ? That IS where the need for the higher amperage comes in.. Yes ??

I have the ver.1 and it cuts you off at 3.7 or 3.8V, which is not enough voltage for a dual coil carto. With the ver 1.5, you can get pretty close to 5V. You should get about 8 watts per coil. With a single coil 1.5ohm, it'll go high enough to pop the coil, or over 16 watts.

Which brings up an interesting thing. I keep having disagreements with people who swear a 3.4V ego works just great with a dual coil. Vendors even tell them that dual coils work good on an ego or a 3.7V PV. Yet, one of the biggest criticisms of the first Lavatube was that it didn't work good with DC cartos because it limited them to 3.7V. Go figger.
