Le stingray lock ring threading Help!!!

Hi guys.
Just got the stingray LE 681 . Super excited but the freaking threading of the lock ring want screw on to my tubes .I am super frustrated and have no idea what to do. Anyone have suggestions??

Congratulations on your LE Stingray . I have the same with serial 621/1000. I inspected my locking and it MATTER how you screw it onto the tube. One end of the locking has a little space at beginning with no threats , the other end of the locking has threats from the beginning of the lockring tube. I can only screw mine onto the tubes with that end first , the end with the threading from the very end of the tube. Sorry english is not my native , but I hope you understand what i´m trying to say. Look closely at the lock ring , the threating.

And btw its a little bit scary to screw it onto the tube, it feels a little stiff at first. But be Carefull.

have you inspected the threats with a magnifying glass ?. I´m curious to what might cause this ?

I managed to get the lock ring in from my black copper ... i almost ruined this mod ... im disppointed

I think I have to agree with you in a way about this mod. Well its mostly nice , but like the locking ring, it was a very delicate job to screw it on, Its as if it wants to bind every few degree of turn, either its the threats on the ring or on the copper tube that are uneven , afraid I might damage the threats , then when inspecting it closer It really look like its made of some cheap chrome plated junk , the edges on it are rough as if no work was put into it ( talking about the SS locking ring ) , the tubes are pretty along with the top cab and the switch , but I expected everything about this mod to be perfect.

The locking ring looks more as if it was sold and made for some cheap clones. I actually have a copper nemesis clone that has much better quality locking ring than this mod does.

I´m gonna take some photos of that locking ring just to show you what we´r talking about. This will be my first and last Authentic Stingray for sure ;-).

BTW I have authentic Chi You SS, Gus Lord, Gus Kiss, Tahiti Gp and a LUXE special edition full copper.
I only have one clone and its the Copper Nemesis made by HCigar and it took me about 2 hours to make the switch smooth and nice on it ( but I don't expect clones to be perfect )

Here you can see the lockring. To me it look very cheap. In no way what I expected from a Authentic Stingray LE.
