I got my Full size Vivi Nova yesterday. It's supposedly V3, and from a reputable vendor. The package looks genuine.

It's laking at the top of the head into the cavity where the drip tip goes.

This results in juice traveling up the drip tip and into my mouth when taking a hit. You can't lay it down on it's side or the cap under the drip tip get's filled with juice.

I took it apart carefully it it looks like the silicone shield at the top of the head looks like it is supposed to seal against the bottom of the inside of the top but it seems that is where the juice is getting thru.

Any suggestions?

Once you reassemble it, take of the drip tip off and see if the hole is centered over the metal funnel looking piece in the silicone cap. Mine is centered over it and I have no problems.

Yes I did that and I'll vape it tonight and see how it does.

Thanks for the tips.

Generally I like the tank, it draws well the vape is great, the mouthful of juice earlier today was more than a bit of a surprise.

I've been using the Nova for about a month and only had that problem once. I cleaned it out and put on a new atomizer head (they are only about $4.00). No more leaks. I use the tanks almost exclusively and I clean them and change the heads about once a week. It costs less than a pack of cigs and its worth it to not have to fiddle with drying and rebuilding the heads.

Like everyone has said make sure that the little silicon cap is centered. Also don't fill the tank to the top, only fill it to the point below where the wicks enter the center post. This will make sure that the wicks don't flood and gurgle out juice.

The space below the drip tip will get condensation of juice built up in it but it shouldn't be enough to get into your mouth unless you are using it in an above 90 degree angle, ie pouring juice condensation into your mouth. I had to learn this from experience while vaping in bed. :)

There is also a small push down piece inside the base of the drip tip that slides inside the piece that goes from the head to the drip tip, if you are like me and like to use your own drip tip I found that piece fit inside of the one I used.

So I pushed that little piece of silicone down, still need to see if the leak reoccurs but doing so looks like it sould help and I swear the vape is better after pushing it down.

Hi Shadco. Sorry to hear you are having an issue. I vape a few full size Vivi novas, and have found that the silicone piece included in the original mouthpiece is ther for one reason. To align the innner seal and the upper hole. Here is what I have figured out. They include this because it is what will keep the top seal inside the tank from "walking" toward the side and allowing a leak. I Just slide it down the centersilicone hole before screwing the top on. It self aligns the rest of the seal and metal spacer inside the tank to where it belongs. It doesn't affect airflow and since I have begun doing this a few months ago I have had zero issues.

Also second to the upper piece, They are recommended to only fill to the slot that holds the wicks. Any farther up and they have the tendancy to spit and gurgle and leak through the center out the bottom. Hope that helps. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

I stopped reading replies at some point, so forgive me if you got it sorted.

One of mine did that tonight. The "problem" is that nothing holds that metal piece in place, and if it gets dislodged, it can cause the silicone piece to lose its shape and get pushed aside when you screw the top cap on.

There are 2 ways to fix it:
  1. take the top cap off, re-seat the silicone piece, and put the top cap back on, hopefully without moving the silicone piece enough to let juice through.
  2. poke it with something (don't tear it or poke a hole in it) until it seals

I use the first method. It's been dislodged before, but tonight was the first time I didn't notice while I was putting the top cap on, and I didn't notice until it started flooding and gave me a little shot in the mouth.

Also, side note, the metal part seems completely useless. Someone on a forum or r/ecr or something suggested taking it out to improve the draw at some point. I did that to one of my heads and then forgot about it until the other day……I'm not sure why I noticed it then and not the other times I've filled or cleaned it. I think I did that like a month ago. And I can't tell which one it is unless I look at it. Okay, I can……it's the one with the grey tube. But I forgot about it for several weeks.

If the metal piece keeps getting dislodged and forcing the silicone out of its cylindrical shape, I say take it out and see if it works better that way.

one other thing that i didnt see mentioned is not all the heads fit all the versions of the vivi nova.. i have ordered from 3 different places 2 local and 1 online. the 2 local shops sell different heads, one sells the longer ones that fit right on the 2.5(vent holes on the end cap not the threads) the other local and online vendor sells the heads that are shorter fits right on the older vivi nova(vent hole on the threads the post is also shorter then the 2.5 versions, just not sure if its the 2.0 or 1.0 version)

That's odd! I had that same issue today and after pushing silicone cap down and re-assembling, I had the same result as you, the vape and throat hit is better than ever. Makes me wonder if it was never seated properly until now?

Actually if the piece inside the drip tip is pushed down it will hold the metal piece in place
