I dropped by a b&m store yesterday (Freedom Smokes) and took a leap of faith by buying the EGO-C starter kit. The testors in the store threw out tons of vapor and I'm not getting that experience. I also have to have them on a charger constantly (650 batteries) AND so far 2 cartridges that I've filled have leaked. Aargghh! The only way I can seem to get a good vape is by dripping and that's hassle.

I liked it in the store. I could have gotten away with 0 nic based on the vapor but the product was tested on models that have been discontinued.

I also don't seem to understand the on/off clicks - it's always sky blue or white (I'm not sure what the difference is since that's the only color I've seen) and the batteries always seem to be on. I've tried clicking to turn them off - and based on a YouTube video, I shouldn't be able to hold down the button and vape if it's off.

I will say, that for a Tuesday afternoon, the store was PACKED and it was not a small store. There was a sign-in sheet and a several person wait. When I left the sheet was full of people waiting. I haven't seen a busy business like that for a long time.

I would have taken it back to the store today to find out what's going on but they were almost out of hardware of any kind. I got one of the last drip tips. They only had 2 Ego's left. No cartonmizers that fit, etc. Even the lanyards were down to 2 colors which would probably sell out by the end of the day. Their stock was near zero.

Anyway - I'd sure appreciate some help with getting my device working right.

Thx in advance.

In my experience those type of tanks leak if you don't snap the bottom caps on well when you fill them. Also be sure that you are seating the tank fully into the atomizer. I have a friend that got an eGo-C last week and she was having the same problems. Check both of these.

The cap should "click" on to the tank... and the tank should sit flush into the atomizer.

In general, the soft caps you can get for those type of tanks seems to hold up a bit better in general, and they are easier to get on and off, but you shouldn't be having these issues with your hard caps if it is put together properly. Getting them open gets easier with practice. Or fingernails.

I have an eGo-T not a C so I am not sure about the colors, but I believe it shows one color or the other when the battery is low.

I have an eGo-C and have had lots of leaking issues. It not a big enough problem that I stopped using it but it can be annoying. I haven't quite tracked down what the cause is.

What kind of leaking issue are you having? A lot of juice pooling up around the atomizer or are you getting juice up the air vents? As for recommendations on fixing the problem I would suggest making sure the cap is tight and the tank is flush with the atty as GimmieMore mentioned.

Oh and whatever happens do not give up on vaping. It seems to take most people a little while to find what works best for them. eGo-C is a great pv to start with. Might want to pick up a few clearomizers.

What kind of blend are you using? I find I can only use 100% vg with my ego-c. I tried a reduced pg blend once and the leaking was out of control. The people at my local shop also suggest filling the tank up about halfway and that will reduce leaking.

My one theory is that pulling to hard causes the atty to not be able to vape the juice fast enough. Other theory is that the viscosity of the juice changes due to the heat from the atty and shell.

Rubbersoul: Doesnt using 100% VG kill your atomizer faster?

Not sure. Up until this week I haven't used pg much and the 50/50 blend I got I am using in Kangers T3's. I think my last atty in my eGo-C lasted about two weeks with only 100% vg. Might have got some more use out of it but I decided to throw it out for a fresh one.

I haven't played with the eGo-C tanks enough to give you any additional advice, but I would recommend getting some plain old Boge or Smoke Tech 2.0ohm cartomizers to get started with. Any 510 carto will work with your battery and I fell they are a lot simpler than a tank/cartridge setup. Just make sure you saturate them before using and you are good to go. Once you get going you can play with the eGo-C tanks a little more.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I have type A tanks. They leaked so bad that I could taste the juice and they would be empty. I think there is more going on than just the tanks. Both batteries die so fast that I was having to charge them constantly at the same time and it kept getting worse and worse. On or off didn't matter. I think I got bum batteries. Unfortunatley I was on my way out of town and couldn't get it back to the store.

I thought I had seen a store with pictures of the wick system but I can't find it right now. I guess the wick can get smashed and the tip of a needle will fluff it out again. It made sense to me that if juice wasn't getting wicked up, it would leak. The part that needs to puncture the tube needs to be absolutely vertical to make the correct hole.

I think Joyetech is missing out by not producing a clearomizer for their products. I guess a few retailers offered one with their batteries and Joyetech got after them for it. "Diluted the brand" or some such thing. It's not like their an OS for a computer.
