This e cig thing is great but I am having a couple of bumps in the road.

I got 12 mg refill liquid and it just isn't making it for me so I am still smoking a lot of stinkies while I wait for the 24mg juice to arrive.

I can't figure out if the charger is working right. It says the slider battery is still full of battery life but the manual battery I put on it yesterday didn't seem to charge. I put it in the pug it into the USB wall charger unit and a few hours later the manual 78mm was ready to go.

By then I had run out of both batteries. I have a fat battery and a passthrough cord on the way and a car adapter for the passthrough as well, so a lot of my battery problems will be solved. Hoping to get my order today.

I guess I'll try again this afternoon on one of my 78 batteries that I use up all the power on and see what happens.

I love vaping and I cut down on smoking by half of my 2PAD habit when I had my 18mg cartridges so I can't wait to get my 24mg and give it a try.

I told Hubby this is way more complex than striking a match and lighting up a smoke but this is the first time I have managed to cut down without hating the world so I am going to keep moving forwards:)

Once you get down to exactly what you know you like and works best for you, it can definitely be much cheaper than smoking analogs, especially if you used to smoke 2 packs a day. I make my own juice and I've calculated it costs me about 25% of what it used to cost me to buy my one carton of cigs each week, and those were the cheap ones from the indians near me. If your battery isn't charging in the charger and it's still under warranty, I would tell them about it and get another one.

Hi Miamimom63

I hate to try to get a replacement if I am just having operator error:) Hubby thinks he can use his electrical measurer when he gets home to test the output.

Really, I like animals, plants and the great outdoors and have never managed to be very techy on computers or electricity, so, I am trying to see if it is me or if it is possibly the charger.

Since I have been a heavy smoker for years, I figure this will save me money in the long run but the part I like is that even after a couple of days of smoking half as much, I am feeling perkier and less worn out.

One of the things I have found with the PCC is that is very important to have a clean connection where the battery screws in to the charger socket. Try cleaning both with a tissue, don't get agressive, just make sure there isn't any liquid or liquid residue left on that connection. Both my wife and I have PCCs and had that same problem, then found out that a simple wipe with a tissue cured the problem. If that doesn't work open a ticket with SI customer support. They'' be happy to help and get things fixed one way or another I'm sure.

It's a good idea to get into the habit of wiping off the cartridge end of the batteries every time you change a cartridge or charge the battery. I know I overfilled a few cartos and ended up with liquid on the ends. Then, when you vape with the thing in your mouth, no hands, some vapor ends up being forced back down the air tube, hits the relatively cool battery and condenses. Then there's the vapor left in the air tube no matter how you do it that also condenses and accumulates in the same spot. So a quick wipe is a good idea since it all adds up over time and can really gum up the works..

Did you press the button to have it charge the battery?

one tip for the Hubby, a VOM meter will only tell you the voltage not if the battery is charged or not. Even if there is a little charge the voltage will read good. Get your Passthrough and the chargers and you will never have this problem again. I liked the X2 1300s so much I bought 3 of them. Also check out the X2 Clearomizers, they are far better tasting than the Cartos and you can see how much juice you have left. Hang in there I believe if you are a 2-PAD smoker somewhere it should tell you to start with 24mg. I was in the same boat a month ago and now I'm down to 18mg but I would have never made it through the first two weeks without the 24. It only gets better from here...

Thanks 1st officer. I am pretty sure Hubby knows pretty much everything about electricity and batteries that there is to know.

Yeah, I probably will check out the clearomizers. I don't think the cartos taste bad and it has been convenient.

You are doing great on the no smoking! Me, I was super surprised to have cut down by half to one pack a day for my first 3 days of using the Volt.
