LED color?

We want purple just as badly as some of you, but our manufacturer says they can't find a source. I've sent them links to other manufacturers models with purple LEDs to prove that they are available, but for obvious reasons they can't just ask their competitors where to get them.
BUT, they did find Pink LEDs, and we'll have some batts with those before Chinese New Years.
I've got 250 purple LEDs and 150 pink LEDs on the way right now, same package. Need any? [rofl]
[edit] and 150 UV too.
UV isn't terribly bright visually. Will show the security strip on currency nicely though. 
It's vaguely a deep purple if you're looking right at it. In some environments it'd be cool though.

if i were about 10 years younger and still into the club scene a UV batt would rock. sadly i don't think it would be all that helpful now.
oh lawd i hope that when the pink LEDs come in they don't ship mixed in... i can tolerate the green but pink might require some none-too-elegant electrical tape solution.

oh and both my chrome XL & my man'l plat shortie came with blue today. guess bribe worked.

Xenon would be right-out. We need micro to milli amps, not amps to "let me find a generator"
I'm not sure how bright an 0603 could be found at present. The lumens possible change too fast for me to keep up with...

Yeah I love the blue, too! Sadly, I specifically asked for "BLUE" light, "BLACK" body in my last order--even said; "if no blue in stock "Do Not" send green!", and guess what? They shipped me a green
Kinda ...... about it, because I hate the green lights, and will not use it, so I feel like I wasted $15.00. Feel I was taken advantage just to make a buck.
Actually, now that I think about it, all my orders have been wrong; something has always been substituted or left out. The problem is these guys are super nice, and always add a little goody in the order for you so it makes it hard to complain.
Although, at this point, I might just stop buying, and look for another vendor...getting tired of wrong stuff, or not listening to my comments.

I thought they were pretty clear here, at least, that you can't request LED color.

OK, here's what I thought...(someone can correct me if I'm wrong as I don't own every batt V4L carries):
All Vapor King LED's are Green EXCEPT the Chromes which are Blue...
There are some older plain style batteries on the site (I think they just call them KR808 batts) which I have never purchased but think they are red or orange.
So, IMO if you order a new batt that is not chrome...the LED is going to be green.

Naw, I just got a regular auto blue a week ago. All my XL Autos (white) are blue. Half my regular autos are blue, the other half green. All newer with the long cut-off.

there WAS a comment made at some point that if you requested a specific color they would try to accommodate. however, since that comment, i believe they've been overwhelmed with increasing orders, because bill specifically said the other day to please not request a specific color.
oh...OH. that gives me another (probably completely impractical) idea for LEDs... but i'll bite my tongue because i bet you've either already ruled it out or thought of something more brilliant. look forward to the pm.

Oh, I'm sorry, I did not know that I had to check this forum first before I order from V4L.
Silly me, I thought if you ordered from a company and requested a specific product that they would either fill the order as requested, or not fill the order, and make note.

yah, all my beloved brushed metal (formerly pink) batts are blue led'd. i have XL plats (auto & man'l) in both colors, my new shorty man'l is blue (as was the auto) and my reg length plat man'l is green. if there's a rhyme or reason it's some mysterious esoteric chinese rhyme or reason. maybe they consult the I Ching for which LED color will be fortuitous that day.
