I was rooting around in my container of various vaping parts and supples and spied one of the Innokin Iclear 30's I had used back when I first started my vaping journey. It had leaked and sputtered and I was not impressed. So, I thought what the heck, let's see if it still does it. I filled it up with some juice and am currently happily vaping with it and a pretty nice vape it is too. If it works out, I'm gonna have to chalk it up to noob user error. The lesson is(maybe): If you get something that you can't make work, DON'T THROW IT AWAY!! Revisit it again when you have more experience...

Excellent advice. I am normally the hoarding type, and don't throw stuff away. But for some reason, last week I got frustrated with a new, inexpensive clearomizer that seemed to leak. So I was irritated and tossed it in the trash and opened another one just like it. That one worked really well. So I dug through the trash and got the other one out that I threw away, changed the head, and it worked perfectly!

Lesson learned: patience and maybe it wasn't the clearomizer, but a faulty head.:)

Lol today i had almost the same revelation. The only difference was i had been having all sorts of issues with evods leaking and burning and never having just the right amount of wicks. I stumbled upon a recoil guide using vertical coil and cotton wick stuffed around it. Tested it out and i'm super stoked. I sat down and rbuilt 6 old heads and its perfect performance so far. I'm glad i kept them, as they are so perfect for the ego twists and built like a tank.

Yep, he's right. I remember getting a smoktech plastic dct carto tank from MBV way back when. Followed the pictoral instructions and it never, ever worked. Obviously, in hindsight, I had no idea what "priming" meant. Cussed at it and threw it in a box and forgot about it. When my B&M taught me what I was doing wrong, I busted that guy back out and quickly started collecting tanks.

The same thing happened with my 30. It got on my last nerve the first time I used it so i cleaned it and tossed it in a drawer. Pulled it out later and it worked like a champ. Maybe it needed steeping.

 I said the same thing the other day to myself. I hated those innokin iclears so much at first. Thank goodness I'm a cheapskate/hoarder who won't throw away anything "valuable." Pulled one out this weekend--huh, this thing is nice. Ugly as sin, but nice.

I find the same thing with juices that I've had laying around for awhile. Juice that I got tired of when using ego batteries taste much different on newer apv's and tanks. So don't throw away that tired juice, save it for when you get better hardware. Another advantage is steeping gives sharp or perfumy flavors a chance to mellow out.
