Sooo, with the extensive list of liquids that can't be used...why haven't stopped using the polycarbonate? Especially if there's another type of plastic that's not effected. Seems like that would be the obvious thing to do, or am I missing something here?
I wish they'd do that instead of making me have to use a different tank. I personally like the eVod, it's shorter than the glass ones like the ProTank. Not to mention less expensive. Plus, I drop mine all the time...I'd break a glass tank in less than a week just from that.

This is a great thread...here is something interesting to add..

I've always used TPA pear and had no issues until my latest batch i made I decided to add 1% TPA sweetener which I let steep for 48 hrs then vaped which was fine then about 2 hrs later noticed horrible etching and cracking in my Ody big mode clear tank ...now I don't see sweetener on the list so can anyone explain this for me...

Someone told me earlier in another thread that maraschino cherry, cherry blossom, honeysuckle, and ripe banana flavoring from TPA will cause cracking as well. This will be helpful to those of us who DIY.

i got some honeysuckle coming in the mail i will let you know if it kills my tank.....or maybe just get a new one so i don't risk wasting my liquid

Your not missing anything, using any material to hold liquids that actually decompose the material, is just wrong.

Polypropylene usually is going to have a frosty look, as opposed to glass like polycarbonate. Both can be colored. Can this really be a main selling point, that little of a fashion difference?

I would really like to see a list of 'suspect' liquids that DON'T crack tanks. Stuff like Mt. Baker Cinnamon Roll (it has cinnamon but has been fine on my plastic) and Banyan Tree (has banana but is fine in my EVOD).

Also, does anyone know if LIQUA Mints cracks tanks? It's a light mint so my guess is not but I haven't tried it yet.

The thing to remember is baker's cinnamon doesn't crack tanks, and the hot cinnamon that does. I know there's a distinct name for each to distinguish between the two, but I forget what those names are.
