I just got a vision ego but am looking into a vv. I was looking at the ego vv (not sure of the name)? It goes from 3.2 to 4.8 I believe. They have two models that I saw: the 650 and 1100 mah. Anyone know anything about these? If they are a decent starter for trying vv? I've been looking around and they seem to be very reasonably priced.

I still keep my regular eGo batteries in rotation, but I have three eGo Twists and love them. I'm tempted to buy a Vision Spinner, just to see if there's any real difference in performance, and quality of build. They seem to cost slightly less than the Twists pretty much everywhere I've been looking, so that is certainly appealing.

I own both Spinners an Twists and really no diff between the 2 except for the more visible voltage markings, knurled dial and more mah in the Spinner. Might be a good idea to look at a larger VV/ VW Mod for at home use IMHO.

Edit: As for quality:
1000 Twist- dial turns to easy and doesn't hold charge
Twist 650 works great
Spinners work great
BUT...
a friend's Spinners are not holding a charge.

Only mentioning this because the Gripper was mentioned. If you like box mods, the Innokin MVP is a great device. Digital readout, 2600 mah rating. Darn near anything 510 or eGo thread fits. Very solidly built steel box.

Not aware of any low end tube styles with digital readout other then the eGo. But close is the Vamo - of course, if you also need to add batteries and a charger for them, the price continues up.

Yep, that happens!

But I really like the flexibility of VV. Not having to worry that vendor A doesn't have device B in stock in resistance C, I can just adjust.

Or liking juice D at one voltage and juice E at another, not needing to put D or E into B with C or C1....

(To clarify or obfuscate... juice D works great at 4.5 watts, juice E at 5.5... while VW would work very well for that, VV also gets you there, since VW just automatically adjusts the voltage to yield the set watts. And my next power source will do both.)

I have two 650 Twists, and one 1000, and so far they all hold their charges nearly all day, with moderate to heavy usage, knock on wood. My only complaint with them is that you need the Hubble Telescope to read the voltage markings, LoL. Your friend's Spinners, are they not holding a charge at all, or just not nearly as long as they should? Thanks for the input, btw.

In other words if a higher voltage scorches the taste of your Papaya Berries & Cream you gotta be able to turn the power down. Because we a know it's a mortal sin to scorch your Papa Berries.

I'm really looking into a Vamo for my fist mod. Some posts across here are starting to turn me though: Ikarus mmmm

I don't know about Vapoor's friend but I can tell you my experience... Three 1300mah Spinners, #1 holds a charge all day, #2 used to hold a charge all day but is now good for 7-8 hours, #3 used to hold a charge all day but chain vaping will drain it in 2-4 hours now. The difference?

#1 was my spinner. I always had a backup and wouldn't wait for it to be completely dead before charging it again. Leave for work? Take a battery off the charger. Get home again? Put it back on the charger whether it needs it or not and use the backup instead. This is the oldest of the three too, and the most used. I sold it second hand (at a discount) to a friend that didn't want to wait for a new one in the mail ;) And yes, he already has a backup and proper charging suggestions.

#2 is my wife's first spinner. She put hers on the charger before bed every night and then vaped it until the next night. I bought her a second spinner as a backup (first one in pink, second one in purple  ) and she got in the habit of running one until it went dead, putting it on the charger and using the second one until the first one was done charging, usually over night. i.e. she took her pink one with her everywhere and reserved the purple one for a few hours of vaping each day at home. Her first one, the work horse of the two, now doesn't last as long as it did and I believe this is due to running it dead so often. I convinced her to swap the two on the charger every morning and every afternoon. Both are holding up quite well.

#3 is my friend's spinner. This was his first battery and only battery. He was reluctant to spend the money on a backup until he knew vaping was going to "work for him". He'd run it dead most days and end up throwing it on the charger for 10 or 20 minutes or so, long enough to build up a small charge but not so long he reached for a pack of analogs ;) Also a chain vaper. He'd put it on the charger over night, most nights, but within the first three weeks a battery that used to last "all day and then some" can now be ran flat with 2-4 hours of chain vaping from a full charge. It's now a backup for his new Vamo (with four 18650 batts as backup!)

Lesson? I'm no battery expert but I've come to the conclusion that if you beat a battery, *any battery*, like it's your only one and the world might end tomorrow, it's performance can be expected to go down hill relatively quickly. Buy a back up, use a back up, and give all your batteries a good "vacation" on the charger daily, *before* they need to be charged, and it will last a lot longer when you need it to. A happy, well rested battery is a good battery! :)

    Good advice, Oktabyr.

I currently have 3 Spinners, 2 at 1300, on at 900, and run them in rotation with my MVP. I'll use one into the evening, swap out and put it on charge. (Well, the MVP goes more than a day, and usually gets charged after 2 days' use - and certainly if it hits its yellow alert stage, which is before "dead.")

The Spinners are 4, 3 and 2 months in use, and all still going strong.

    Well...
Im deffinetly in love with this whole variable-thing. For now Im sticking to the lower settings, but I like being able to change the voltidge when I change from single to dual coin (or the other way around). Don't get me wrong. My e-pipe will still se plenty of use, but is no longer my "one and only".

    :D
