Provari's are good variable voltage devices and they're pretty consistent on the readings as well
I just got a vision ego but am looking into a vv. I was looking at the ego vv (not sure of the name)? It goes from 3.2 to 4.8 I believe. They have two models that I saw: the 650 and 1100 mah. Anyone know anything about these? If they are a decent starter for trying vv? I've been looking around and they seem to be very reasonably priced.
I still keep my regular eGo batteries in rotation, but I have three eGo Twists and love them. I'm tempted to buy a Vision Spinner, just to see if there's any real difference in performance, and quality of build. They seem to cost slightly less than the Twists pretty much everywhere I've been looking, so that is certainly appealing.
I own both Spinners an Twists and really no diff between the 2 except for the more visible voltage markings, knurled dial and more mah in the Spinner. Might be a good idea to look at a larger VV/ VW Mod for at home use IMHO.
Edit: As for quality:
1000 Twist- dial turns to easy and doesn't hold charge
Twist 650 works great
Spinners work great
BUT...
a friend's Spinners are not holding a charge.
Yep, that happens!
But I really like the flexibility of VV. Not having to worry that vendor A doesn't have device B in stock in resistance C, I can just adjust.
Or liking juice D at one voltage and juice E at another, not needing to put D or E into B with C or C1....
(To clarify or obfuscate... juice D works great at 4.5 watts, juice E at 5.5... while VW would work very well for that, VV also gets you there, since VW just automatically adjusts the voltage to yield the set watts. And my next power source will do both.)
Only mentioning this because the Gripper was mentioned. If you like box mods, the Innokin MVP is a great device. Digital readout, 2600 mah rating. Darn near anything 510 or eGo thread fits. Very solidly built steel box.
Not aware of any low end tube styles with digital readout other then the eGo. But close is the Vamo - of course, if you also need to add batteries and a charger for them, the price continues up.
My only complaint with them is that you need the Hubble Telescope to read the voltage markings, LoL. Your friend's Spinners, are they not holding a charge at all, or just not nearly as long as they should? Thanks for the input, btw.
