I think there may be another minor design flaw with those tanks: the caps don't go far enough into the tank to really hold well. I think they need to redesign them to be deeper, for a better grip. The J-Tank gets this part right, so that the tank takes considerable effort to take apart, which is a good thing when pocketing Provari plus tank.

I have a M1A1 & the caps don't really go that deep & it holds great. I can hold my Provari from the tank & shake it with no problems. I often carry it in my pocket with no problems. That's actually one of my favorite things about that tank. When it's time to clean it I can pretty easily remove the caps. I'm constantly bending back thumbnails on my SS Map.
Do you own one of the Siam tanks Frick? You have my curious if maybe the specs are misproportioned.

No, I don't own one. I was basing that on the way the caps look on Pbusardo's review. They look like they barely go into the tank, which is nice for juice capacity, but not nice for holding onto the tank well. The stainless J-tank's caps don't go in that far either, but they hold extremely well, and are definitely deeper-seated than those on the Siams.
Mind if I ask which cartos you get for that Big Daddy? I just ordered some Boge XXLs, hoping they work because I don't dig the SmokTech ones.
I use the boge xxl's they are just a little shy of reaching the top of the cap. But I like boges cartos and haven't had any issues. I pretty much use Ming tips and they fit great..

That's why my wife has her own ProVari, she can't get mad if I got her one too.
Plus, she lets me experiment to figure things out. When I find something that works, I explain it to her. That way she gets all the joy of vaping without any of the homework. And it suits my hoarding/gadget fetish lol.
My provari satin black blue led with phiniac XL "hot dice" tank with SS caps. Also have 2 custom tanks as shown in the pic. One name tank with a butterfly on it (lol what was i thinking) and one plumber themed one. Im already planning more
