Yeah, the cap. Bell seems more accurate a description, based on the RSST's shape. It's nice having some control over the vape like that... still working out the kinks.

I have it back over the coil, and it's working smoooooth now. Thing is awesome. :) glad I bought one.

Next step is to see how it does on my Vamo... I know RBAs tend to be mech devices, but my first coil was just high enough to not go under the ohm limit...

Funny how things change. Until this week, I was wrapping coils in the low/mid 2's... Now I think I'll wrap 1 ohm lower so I can use it on both my K100 and my Vamo.

I wonder if an eVod can run a SS wick at 13w. :)

What you'll run into with the Vamo (and other vv devices) is your amp limit. When you're running a 1.2ohm coil on the Vamo at 4 volts, you're at 14 watts, but the amp limit will won't allow your Vamo any higher after about 11 watts (or 3.6 volts). It'll fire. It just won't give you the voltage you're asking it to. Unless you're stacking batteries, which is not recommended, you'll be limited in some way. It may be better to increase your resistance to around 1.6-1.8ohms on the Vamo so you can push higher wattage whilst preserving the available amperage. I never got into vv genesis vaping, but I know a few regulars here have had good success with it. I can say that 1.2 and 1.3ohms is a sort of no-man's-land when it comes to vaping. It's a little too high for mechs and a little too low for vv. Ever play Blackjack and get dealt a 12 or a 13? Same thing. I hope I didn't make your head explode.

Makes sense. I know the Vamo will max out at some point unless I stack... but if I can use it, gives me a level of backup...Until I pick up another mech I suppose. I could always just get another RSST for the Vamo.

Oh, and stacking is unofficially supported... heh... if it wasn't allowed, why write stacked voltages into the firmware? Everyone advises against it since people can really screw things up if they don't do due diligence.

Actually, 1.3 works pretty well on the K100... good vapor production, nice flavor. It was my first SS wick and I guessed on the number of wraps and came out ok. I know I could go lower, but it's not like I'm cloud chasing or anything.

When I redo the coil, I might drop a wrap and go around 1, but I am not going to go much lower than that.

Local person for what? You won't see the Eric's sold in any shops. Keep in mind the torch job is done on matte Nems if you try to have it done. Polished Nems will not hold the color as well. I've seen these auctioned for upwards of $600. Good luck. The Celeste is super sexy but I don't have the patience to wait 4 months for a mod these days.

Sorry I meant someone local that has knowledge on changing the color of metal by fire. Huh huh he said fire.

No way... I studied physics in college... and dabbled in some high energy stuff. I understand the ... let's call them nuances .. . of low resistance electronics, particularly on unprotected circuits.

It's like having a baboon for a pet... it's REALLY cool until he rips your face off.

Well then get some batteries with a 30 amp rating and you can rock 0.4 duals! That's only 10 amps. Perfectly safe for newer MNKE and Orbtronic bats. As long at you don't get a hard short, you're very safe. 0.8ohms isn't really that low, but it makes a huge difference with gennies.

Well truth be told my 1st kayfun is at .7 and my second is 1.0. Both give off fantastic vapes. The cable wicks are .8 in the gennys but they don't get looked at and most are emptied now.
You've been doing DIY for a while now right? How's that working out? I've been meaning to get more supplies but just haven't had the time to really come up with a flavor list with the move coming up.

Kayfuns are a different story. I have three. One is at .7 ohms, one is at 1.2, and the third at 1.7 ohms. The latter I use on my vv and the others on mechs. I can't tell the difference but for the warmth. They all vape equally well. Resistance doesn't seem to matter as much as the quality of the build in the Kayfun.

My juice supply is 90% DIY and 10% old stuff I'm not willing to part with. I buy VG and PG by the gallon and 100mg nic by the liter and make 3 or 4 bottles every couple weeks for my enjoyment. I DO miss Huntsman, though, as I can't replicate NETs (or don't have the patience). I'm going to have to buy a biggun of that to keep me in the HHV Army. DIY is easy once you have some recipes that work. R&D is the hard part. I literally have nearly a hundred different flavorings from 5 or 6 different suppliers. Most I haven't even delved into. But I have several recipes which have become ADV for me. It's very freeing to make your own juice. No worry about running out and much easier on the budget.

Well then! YOu just inspired me not to buy juice tonight and buy flavorings instead :) The few I actually vape all day are as basic as basic comes and I know I could replicate them myself.

Papa Smurf: Equal parts blueberry and strawberry, with TFA sweet cream or whipped cream. Easiest darn thing to make. The specific %ages I forget but I made a batch off the top of my head and it was, quite frankly, better than Smurf.

ETA: Blueberry flavor is hit or miss. The best I've found is Olive Nation Pure Blueberry Extract. Sweet Strawberry from Capella is very good, as is Strawberry Sweet from TFA.

I don't touch it anymore X! ;) My remaining 30ml is getting gifted.
I vape organic custard from HDV and they sell the flavorings..
Custard, shadow, coconana and sometimes clockwork orange is the only thing I vape anymore. I think I'm gonna get a strawberry and a cheesecake.. Questioning whether or not to get sweetener.. With all the juices I've made they were never sweet or lacking SOMETHING I could never figure out.

I'm looking for a good custard flavor. So you're saying Nature's Flavors is a good one? I'll have to buy some. A lot of people like Capellas Vanilla Custard, but I think it tastes like barf. Coconana...is that Bucky's?

I was told by a DIYer that sweetener is a good thing to have around. I've made a small attempt at researching DIY, but I'm specifically looking for tobacco recipes. That seems to be the hardest thing to get right based on my limited research. I need to get a notebook and write things down as I find them. But I'm just getting started. The two vapes I enjoy the most is tobacco and coffee, but they are the hardest to get right I hear. I'll be buying more DIY gear soon.

Yeah it's buckys. It's all wizard labs stuff though.
I imagine NF is what HDV uses but can't comment on how good it is really because I haven't tried others. I know I love it and finished a 30ml this week. To me it's like the inside of a warm donut

Well if it's the organic, then it's probably NF. Wizard Labs is all TPA and Lorann. My guess is that he uses TPA. Not the best flavorings, but some are nice and I've certainly had worse.

Sweetener is a must for a lot of juices. Sometimes I use Ethyl Maltol for mild sweetening and adding juiciness. Liquid Sucralose is what I use for straight-up sweet.
