Audited. Fines fees from other years not audited. Not exactly communist lol.. Rather my fault for not filing for my adult life.

Don't feel too bad MrPicC, I haven't filed since we moved here and that was in '87! Can't see paying income tax on income not affiliated with the US in any way. :p To the IRS.

Are you required to though CHAK>? Easy money for them I guess.. It's all easy money..

If you compare my Thai salary to US, it would be in the poverty range and exempt from taxes. Plus the fact I'm paying Thai income tax - I am not getting screwed out of pay from both governments, Eff that!

I read an article recently about expats that had decided to give up their American citizenship because they got sick of paying U.S. taxes when they hadn't been here in years.

I could not ever bring myself to do that, but it sucks that people are being taxed into that decision.

Exactly how I feel, Pappy, but I'm not giving up my citizenship over taxes - I'd rather give up taxes. ;)

Charger Failure. After a year and a half of never being unplugged, never being turned off and never removing the batteries except for use, my Xtar WP6 II just overheated five AW IMR batteries of various sizes. One in particular, a relatively new 18650 battery, overheated until it vented, and actually caused the outside paint (or wrapper) to peel away. Luckily I was in the room and heard the battery vent, at which time I unplugged and emptied the charger. Looks like next purchase will be New batteries and charger, and maybe some of these storage boxes to set charged batteries into....

Not safe practices Papaw, and you were lucky to be home when it happened.

I don't charge batteries overnight or when I'm not home.

I guess buying better chargers and depending on the 'Safety Features' isn't so good after all. Come payday (Thursday) when I restock, I will be buying battery boxes for the charged ones. a $1.50 piece of plastic is easier than an entire home ! Hopefully someone else will read this and won't have to learn the hard way....

already have the plastic boxes... and the charger is on a switched surge protector... instead of the hassle of unplugging, I just hit the switch on the protector
maybe a really nice charger would have an on/off switch on it too... turns off the 120V not the low volt side...
Radio Shack made a "lightning" globe and the switch turned off the low volt side of electronics... the controller boards stayed hot all the time it was plugged in, within several months, there was a surge of broken units being returned to RS due to the board frying out due to heat issues... mine still works even after 25 yrs... ( I always unplugged mine when not in use)

I hope so Pop...I hope people (including myself) can learn from your experience. The extra cost of a quality charger/batteries and employing safe practices is something that needs to be at the forefront of our vaping priorities.

Already in the trash can. Of the six bays, one caused the battery to vent, but the other four bays in use were warming up those batteries. I'm guessing some sort of regulator built within the plug failed, causing the charger to constantly 'feed'....

The WP6 is a good charger. I had a WP2 that quit on me recently. Don't know why. Probably a 15 cent part, but electronics are way beyond my capabilities.

I bought a Nitecore i2, which I like. It is nice to be able to see the charge status, which I couldn't do with the WP2.

I should just bite the bullet and invest in a Pila, but I don't know if they are that much better than others or if it's just hype.

Where's X when we need him? It was nice having a geek on the thread.

Xtar VP-1 is my charger of choice. The mighty Technonut advised me so...

It's a remarkable device.

Roaring thunderously via Tapatalk...

More details...or I might have to use Bridget's advice and chase down X.

When it comes to vaping knowledge, battery chargers are my weakest point.
