Got the Kanger Protank. Christened it with Legend, one week old. Good stuff, Icey like. On receiving the Protank, I removed a wick from one of the heads, primed with some juice, filled the tank, put it on the Provari, and...

It is vaping nicely, like big dog, in fact. Puts the Mega BCC to shame. And it has a Pyrex tank. And it looks pretty good. I think I may want another, or two. :)

I had a Provari Version 1 and when the new 1.8ohm Vivi Nova came out, the board couldn't take it and it went permanently whacko
they sent it back "repaired" and it still wasn't fixed and I sent it back a second time and they put a new board on it. So I'm in the club of users that have destroyed 1 Provari. I won't count the second time I sent it back.

At least I'm not alone in that club. <sigh> It's nice to have friends :) It did get fixed completely, right? Are you still using the same one and how old is it now? Sorry for all the questions..... ;)

Well to be fair, she should be :

"Thread Killer and Provari Slayer, Mistress of distress, Ms Robin".

I actually considered this earlier but decided against it because I wanted to avoid the innuendo of her being anyone's mistress. I submit it now only a gender clarification, with no implication of impropriety for the noble (if clumsy) Robin. As for the rest, if she asks me to stop, I will do so without hesitation. I suspect she will not because she thinks the ribbing has been well-earned.

<sigh> Yes it is well earned.

On that note....ProVari has shipped today, and I am in contact with ProVape. They asked me if I was sure that it was dry after the alcohol flush......uh Yes! I do know that liquids and electrical stuff don't mix. 9 Hours drying time at the 99% alcohol should be plenty. The little blue light flashed one time while I was trying out each fricken battery. And it wasn't on the first battery it flashed. I know they Have to ask, I was pleasant in my email. Just waiting on confirmation that it needs to be sent back.

I have to ask, Why so low?! You're in dangerous territory with the amount of strain that you're putting on the battery and the risk of a meltdown (explosion) are increased exponentially. Why would you want to go that low in ohms?

Why so low? the vape is wonderful it brings out some very subtle flavors. As far as battery strain this is not a concern. I am using EH IMR18650 2000mAh. There max continuous discharge rate is 20C or for a 2000mAh that would be 20 amps at even 4.2 volts the max voltage on a .4 ohm load I am only pulling 10.5 amps from them.
I don't know where you're getting your figures from, but EH 18650 do not in any way have a continuous discharge of 20C. It's more like 8C. I'd be very careful if I were you. As far as I know, MNKE are the only IMR batteries which can handle a drain as high as that. Please post your resources here.

Generally, the maximum discharge rate for LiCoCl cells is 2C, double the cell's capacity in amp hours. For LiMn chemistries, this increases to around 10C or to 20C for LiFePo cells.

You are correct XfooYen I switched to my MNKE cells when I read through my data sheets seems some sites post wrong info. Thank you.

Ice, that's a sharp looking tank. Kanger is getting spiffy all of a sudden.

I need some more time with it, but tentatively it may be a Vivi Nova killer. No lie. It's performing WAY better than that (problematic, but on the right track) Mega BCC. We'll see how it pans out.

I've been vaping this Protank for hours now. No leaking, no burnt hits. Vaped it down halfway and topped it off again. I did remove one of the two wicks that covers the coil (easy to do). I feel you all should know that I'm using 30/70 juice. Heavier PG juice may not require removal of that one wick, I don't know. Try it first for yourself.

Threading. This is a biggie. Wonky threads on all Vivi Novas. Every single one that I have wobbles on every device I have, unless it's stabilized by a plinth (ego sleeve). My devices that do not have ego threads (Provari) are vulnerable to having their 510 threads destroyed by a Nova. The Protank has perfect threading. Tight and true.

I'm not entirely certain, but I think the heads provided are 2.5ohm. I am running the Provari at an even 4.0 volts. I'm able to chain vape freely. There is no tipping necessary, as this is a bottom coil. I have seen no leaking, There is no gurgling.

It comes with two heads and an ego adapter (for twists and such). The integrated mouthpiece can be compared to a pawn type drip tip, very comfortable to use. The draw is very easy, and the vapor and flavor is full. I paid full price retail for this tank kit. Worth every penny, IMO. I referred to this device as a potential Vivi Nova killer. Pound for pound, with the ability to cheaply replace, or even rebuild, atomizer heads, it may even be a carto tank killer - if not variety and appearance-wise, then performance and cost-of-use wise. Yep, it's that good. It absolutely destroys the Vivi Nova in every respect. The only thing you cannot do is attach your own drip tip. I find that I care not a freaking bit.

For those of us that like the convenience of clearos, with replaceable (and from what I've been reading, rebuildable) heads, and without the expense of multiple carto tanks and cartos, this one will do it for you.

I've relied on VNs for the past nearly 9 months, while trying many delivery devices, including carto tanks. For a VV/VW device - let's exclude mechs & RBAs as a whole other animal - this bottom coil tank just works. I'll go on record as dubbing this Protank the Vivi Nova Killer. As in dead. As in deader than s**t.

That looks cool. Is it the same size as the reg nova or the mini? In the comments, I noticed someone say they had to flip the plastic cap? I will think about this.... Nova killer eh?

I never have any problems with my Novas and they all hit like freight trains and taste as good as my RBA. I must be lucky though I admit I modify my Nova attys and chase the threads with a die. :)
